Temporary, emergency or longer term?
I offer this service : personal care, social visits, domestic errands, cleaning shopping, hospital appointments.

As a personal assistant I can adapt to individuals needs.

I have an Enhanced DBS/CRB check. I am up to date with my first aid and accompanying qualifications.
I am flexible and offer an updates service to family to let them know how things are going.

What is Parkinson's disease? And how does it relate to dementia? 🤔

👉 Parkinson’s disease is caused by a decrease in dopamine levels due to the loss of nerve cells in a part of the brain called the substantia nigra

👉 As the disease progresses people are increasingly likely to have a tremor, shaking, slowness of movement and rigidity. Cognitive changes can include forgetfulness, hallucinations and delusions, and difficulty learning new things

👉 About a third of people with Parkinson's will go on to develop dementia, usually in the later stages. This is known as ‘Parkinson’s disease with dementia’ and may also be referred to as Lewy body dementia
