We accept self-referrals for ADHD assessments. This means that families can contact us directly about ADHD assessments and there is no need for a GP referral. We talk to families to make sure that an ADHD assessment sounds appropriate. If deemed appropriate we begin the screening process.

This involves sending out some ‘screening’ questionnaires to the family and (usually) to the school. There is a growing awareness that some children may ‘mask’ ADHD symptoms in school. Rest assured, we always take this into account in our assessments.

We provide multidisciplinary assessments for autism, following best practice NICE guidelines. Our team consists of highly skilled clinicians who have had many years of experience working in the NHS, including specialist experience of autism assessment.

- Claire is a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist registered with the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT), Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Association for Speech & Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). She worked in the local NHS service for 10 years including several years as part of the autism assessment team. Claire is trained in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessments.

- Nicki is an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with over 16 years of working in the NHS and Independent Practice. She has significant expertise working with autistic clients, including carrying out neuroaffirmative autism diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidelines and providing intervention where appropriate.

Candice has developed her specialist skills in working as part of the autism assessment team. Candice is trained in the ADOS-2 assessment and carries out Neuroaffirmative autism diagnostic assessments in line with the NICE guidelines as well as giving families and young people advice and support following diagnosis.

Currently, Olivia works part-time at a tertiary level hospital working in Neurodevelopmental clinics and alongside this has been working privately supporting young people since 2022.

She is particularly passionate about working with young people to participate in occupations that are important to them. When she isn’t working, she loves to travel in her campervan in the UK and Europe.

Charlotte is an experienced primary teacher and specialist teacher for specific learning difficulties (SpLD). Her passion lies in working with parents, carers, and teachers to help them empower children to make progress in literacy.

Charlotte holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics and Communication, an MA in Education, and a BA in Primary Teaching. She is currently studying towards certification as a specialist assessor in literacy difficulties and cognitive processing.
