Got Spare Wool? 🧶

We Can Use It! 🤗

We’re bringing our residents and local community together for a heart-warming winter project called “Operation Woolly Mammoth”!

We’re asking friends, families, neighbours and local groups to help us knit cosy blankets for people in need.

We’re appealing for donations of balls of Double Knit Wool in any colour. Every donation helps. Please drop any donations to our reception. ☺️

Elvis was in the building! 🤗

Brenda received a unique gift from her family to commemorate her 80th birthday, and she was overjoyed with her surprise, and having "Elvis" serenade her was the cherry on top of a perfect day. 💕

Residents from the home were invited to join Brenda's, and needless to say, they had a great time! Simply marvelous! 👏🎊

It's time for Operation Woolly Mammoth! 🧶

We had a terrific start here at Belmont.

Our lovely residents were thrilled with the concept of knitting comfortable blankets for persons in need in our community, and they immediately began knitting! 🧶👏

How amazing are they?? Simply fabulous!! 💕

Operation Woolly Mammoth Has Landed at Belmont View Care Home!

We’re bringing our residents and local community together for a heart warming winter project! We’re asking friends, families, neighbours and local groups to help us knit cosy blankets for people in need which will be donated through Age UK Hertfordshire.

You can get involved by:
• Knitting 20cm x 20cm squares using Double Knit Wool and 4mm knitting needles
• Donating Double Knit wool or 4mm knitting needles
• Helping us stitch blankets together (6 squares wide × 8 long).
• Or even teaching someone to knit!

Want to join our mammoth mission? Send us a message or pop into our home and come and see us.
