So here I am getting my Raw Milk from our local farm.
Here’s what I’ve been thinking lately about raw milk… 🥛💭
Personally, I don’t drink much cow’s milk or dairy and luckily, I’ve never had sensitivities to it. But even if I did, based on what I’ve researched, I feel like raw milk is different because it’s full of natural enzymes, beneficial bacteria, and fat-soluble vitamins that are often reduced through pasteurisation.
So, I guess It’s as close to nature as it gets: fresh, creamy, and straight from the cow without all the extra processing. This one is from gorgeous Jersey cows 🐄 and was milked within 24 hours, so it feels fresh!
Nutritionally, raw milk still has its natural enzymes (which help with digestion), beneficial bacteria, and fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, and K2. A lot of these can get reduced when milk is heated and processed.
But I get it, it’s not for everyone. Some people are sceptical, which I do find interesting because we put so much trust in supermarket milk… even though it’s been through so many steps and processes before it even reaches our fridge. 🤔
I didn’t have a glass bottle with me when I picked it up, so I used one of their plastic ones and decanted it straight into a sanitised glass jar when I got home. I’ll let you know what I think✨
I’m curious, have you ever tried raw milk?
What did you think?
