Bridgit Care has introduced a new online support tool for unpaid carers 💙

The AI Voice Coach is a free, multilingual voice support designed to help carers with questions about their caring role — whether that’s practical guidance, reassurance, or knowing where to turn next.

Available day or night, it offers support in different languages, making help more accessible when it’s needed most.
Because unpaid carers deserve timely, inclusive support that fits around real life.

Bridgit’s Blog: Carer’s Allowance is changing in April 2026? 📣

Carer’s Allowance will go up from £83.30 to £86.45 per week from April 2026. That’s an increase of £3.15 a week. Over a year, it adds up. It won’t solve cost pressures, but it may help with essentials.

The earnings limit is also rising. From April 2026, it increases from £196 to £204 per week. This matters if you combine caring with paid work. It gives a little more breathing room. It may also reduce the risk of losing support due to small pay changes.

What’s the age range for unpaid carers? 🌍💜

In our latest Podcast, Dominic Carter, Director of Policy & Public Affairs at Carers Trust talk to Wayne Willis about the wide age range of carers from children through to adults.

“At Carers Trust, we work with and, and support a lot of people who are under 18, what we call young carers.
We know of people, in their 70s, 80s, 90s who are supporting, partners, children, and others and we try and make sure they've got a positive life as possible.”
