✨ My Skin Story ✨

It all started as a teenager, working after school in salons (Bodyworx and Slender You 🤍) while battling my own skin challenges. Back then, I thought “this is just my skin”, but the beauty world quickly taught me otherwise. I fell head over heels for the power of skincare, especially when I discovered . Not only did it transform my skin, it built my confidence.

I studied Beauty Therapy at Hull College for two years, and at 17 I got my very first job with Fiona at French Polish in Kirkella. She gave me my first opportunity in the industry, something instrumental to my development.

At 18, I moved to Tina Wharram’s in Hessle, where I ran the beauty side solo. At 19, I opened my first business with a friend — Pinkies Nails & Beauty in Anlaby, before taking the leap at 23 to open my own salon in Hessle: The Loft. I stayed there for 17 wonderful years, working with an amazing team, treating thousands of clients (some for over 20 years!) and growing an award-winning business.

During this time, I also became a Beauty Tutor at Wilberforce College in Hull, a role I love, teaching the next generation of therapists.

This year, I decided to slow things down and focus fully on my clients in a more personal way. The Hideaway was born, my cosy, 1:1 beauty space in North Ferriby, where the focus is entirely on you.

For me, it’s never been about quick fixes or chasing trends. It’s about timeless skin health, real results, and the magic that happens when therapy meets treatment. I’m still learning, still geeking out over skincare science, and still loving this industry as much as day one.
