A big thank you to everyone who took part, to everyone who helped out and made it such a special day!

A massive thanks too to The Freedom Centre Hull who help us to make this such a great event every year!

Residents at Tamarix had a wonderful afternoon with the Withernsea Ladies Choir! 🎤🎼🥁🪇 Everyone enjoyed singing along, trying out a variety of instruments, and dancing to some classic tunes. A huge thank you to the choir for such an uplifting and joyful session!

Today, we take a quiet moment to honour all those who have served and sacrificed. Across our homes, residents and staff are marking the day with reflection, stories, and remembrance.

Harrogate pupils and care home residents join forces to create Remembrance wreath
Pupils from Harrogate High School have been working alongside residents at Hampden House care home to make hundreds of poppies ahead of Remembrance Sunday. The wreath will go on displayin Harrogate as part of the town’s commemorations.

The joint craft session saw students and residents cutting, stitching and gluing poppies from felt, card and wool. Tables in the lounge were covered in red and black materials as pupils chatted with residents about school, family and memories of past services. The finished wreath will be placed at [Harrogate Railway Station and the town’s cenotaph as part of the town’s commemorations.

🎆 Bonfire Night is here!

There’s something special about this time of year — the smell of toffee apples, the sound of fireworks in the distance, and memories of wrapping up warm to watch the sky light up.
Many of our residents love sharing their Bonfire Night stories, from childhood trips to local displays to cosy evenings with family and friends.
