Eating after 6pm makes you gain weight”

WTF!! 🤨

Let’s be real, most of us eat dinner (or tea as we call it up north 😉) later when we’ve finished work, sorting the kids or getting things ready for the next day.

Eating in the evening will only stop you from losing weight if your overall calorie intake is higher than your body needs, for a sustained period of time (not just one day!)

If you prefer to graze during the day, or eat 3 meals, this really doesn’t matter when it comes to weight loss.

You have to ENJOY and be able to SUSTAIN how you are eating, or you’ll struggle to stick to it 👌🏼

Working with me we’ll structure your food around your preferences and goals, what you enjoy and what’s realistic for you as a family 👨‍👩‍👦

This way you’ll be consistent and get the best results 🎯

Stop checking your watch, Listen to your body and eat when you’re getting hungry.

If you’re fed up with the dieting myths and fads, and want to see real results, DM me “myths” and I’ll help you get started.

Trying to lose weight when you’re always busy, tired or it’s not the right time can feel impossible.

But it doesn’t have to be 🙏

Making the time to work on your health and fitness will help you to become stronger, more confident, and increase your energy.

You can make changes from This Weekend!

1️⃣ MAKE THE TIME

Most of us have used the line “I haven’t got the time” to exercise once or twice 🙋🏻‍♀️

Sometimes it’s genuinely true.

Often it’s down to a not knowing where to start, feeling tired or talking yourself out of it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Most of us can find a 15 minute chunk in the day to go for a quick walk or make a healthy meal.

2️⃣ SNACKING

If you’re not seeing results, Keep a food log for 5 days.

If you’re going to do this you’ve got to go all in! include all the snacks, the nibbles while you’re cooking and the drinks at the weekend

You might be surprised at how quickly things add up and could be causing your weight loss to plateau

3️⃣ CONSISTENT OVER PERFECT

If your week hasn’t gone as you’d liked, don’t give up - you’re better than that 😉

We all have “‘those days”

It’s how you bounce back that matters.

4️⃣ GET SUPPORT

Involve your family with cooking healthy meals, getting outside and cheering you through your workouts, or get a coach for support, structure and accountability 🙋🏻‍♀️

You CAN do it.

It IS worth your time.

I hope these tips help you - please SHARE this post if it has 🙏

Strength training is a great way to look after yourself, and feel strong, healthy and confident.

Here’s 4 of my favourite lower body, low impact exercises that can be done from home:

1️⃣ 1 LEG SQUAT

Balance! Something you rarely know could be improved until you try single leg exercises

Tip - Try to prevent your knee rolling inwards and hold onto the wall for support when you need to.

2️⃣ DUMBBELL DEADLIFT

Tip - Imagine you’re trying to touch your bum to the wall behind you. Start the movement from your hips, not your back or knees.

3️⃣ SIDE LUNGE

With a wide stance, push your hips back as you bend one knee to lower to one side. With our without weights.

4️⃣ GLUTE RAINBOWS

A great exercise for strengthening your glutes, and helping to prevent back ache (I did this throughout my pregnancy)

Tip - Lift one leg up and over to the other side (like a rainbow). Avoid letting your back dip and try not to sway your hips.

Strength exercises are a great way to feel fit and strong throughout pregnancy and beyond.

For me exercise is essential for PHYSICAL and MENTAL health.

Nobody ever regrets a workout! 😉

Remember exercise shouldn’t feel painful, take your time, and if you need some help, ask 🙋🏻‍♀️

How does strength training make you feel?

Are you unsure where to start?

When your mornings are already busy, the last thing you want is a breakfast that takes ages to prepare!

If you aren’t a ‘breakfast person’ that’s okay, enjoy your ‘breakfast’ when your appetite does kick in, whether that’s 7am or 11am.

Introducing my favourite Overnight Oats Bowl

This is so EASY, TASTY and NOURISHING, here’s how to make it;

Combine the following foods in a bowl, leave in the fridge overnight and that’s it!

40g Oats

200ml Milk of your choice

100g Berries

2 tbsp. Greek yoghurt

1 scoop Protein powder (optional)

1 tbsp. Flaxseed / seeds / nuts

This keeps me feeling full all morning and gives me the energy for a day of work and motherhood 😜

Give it a try!
