It must be official. We have a fancy new sign!

The question now is: which of John or Beryl will keep it fingerprint-free? Answers on a postcard (or better still, below). We know who our money is on. 😉

Showing true dedication to the job - and some nifty footwork too. Maybe we should enter a team in the Winter Olympics?

Nevertheless, come rain or shine (and in this case, slush and ice), we will be there for our customers, because their needs don't stop just because the weather is awful!

Complex care (higher-level day-to-day support for ongoing health needs) can happen safely at home with the right plan.

We agree on clear routines, coordinate with your clinical team and train our care professionals to your exact tasks.

February’s a good time to refresh equipment checks and reorder supplies after winter. The benefit is simple: familiar surroundings, calmer days and support that adapts as needs change.

If you’d like, we’ll sketch a sample day so you can see exactly how it fits real life.

One of the key reasons we have moved to a larger space in Sandbrook House, is to allow for a better training space for our team.

We work hard to ensure every one of our carers is appropriately trained and able to provide the kind of care that has gotten us to #1 in the North West.

Don’t judge the space just yet, we are still unpacking, and no, the bed is only used for training purposes and not for a cheeky lunch time nap….although that is an idea.

Your words mean the world.

It’s a privilege to support daily life with warmth and consistency, and we never take your trust for granted.

If you’re reading this and weighing up support, we’re happy to listen first — no pressure, just honest answers.

Hey…….no one mentioned to us it was tea-break time. We’d love a brew thank you ☕️

“Blue Monday” headlines can feel heavy, but small acts help.

Plan a cheerful check-in visit, make a simple hot lunch together, set out clothes the night before for an easier morning, and choose one enjoyable task (sorting photos, seed-planning for spring). If memory is a worry, place a notepad by the kettle for quick reminders.

Our home care visits can include companionship time — ten minutes for a chat can change the day.

A very Happy (if slightly belated) Birthday to Julie, one of our care team.

Thankfully, we gave her the flowers on her actual birthday (just before Christmas) and not when we eventually got around to doing this post. We didn't want you to think we forgot about you, and we are totally blaming Santa for the delay!

Can we mention Santa in January? Answers on a postcard.

Not at all!

Live-in care (support in your own home, day and night) can be a steadying choice long before a crisis.

After the holidays, some people realise the quieter weeks feel daunting. A live-in care professional provides company, encouragement with meals and hydration, safe support with mobility, and help keeping up with appointments. It’s also a way to stay near friends, faith groups and favourite walks.

If you’re comparing options, we can talk through real-world routines and what a typical day would look like.

Often, yes — with a clear plan and time that isn’t rushed.

We coordinate with your clinical team, agree safe routines (for example, PEG feeds, catheter care, moving and handling), and train our care professionals to your exact needs.

Families tell us the biggest relief is having one point of contact who notices small changes early and keeps everyone informed.

If you’d like, we can walk through a sample day and what records we keep.

It was a bittersweet moment last week as we said goodbye to what has been our home for the last 5 years.

It is great that our team has outgrown the space, and we are very excited to be moving to the impressive Sandbrook House (piccies to follow very shortly), although it will be sad to leave a place where great memories have been created, not to mention where we were based when we were officially ranked the #1 care provider in the North West!

We took a couple of snaps for the memory banks, including a rare sighting of John’s desktop. He has assured us it will stay this tidy in our new office, but we won’t hold our breath.
