Please cancel your appointment if not needed. This helps to reduce waiting times and gives an opportunity for other patients to be seen sooner

***Patient Led Ordering(PLO) of repeat medication***

-We are encouraging PLO of repeat medication. This means requesting your medication directly with the surgery using the NHS app or PATCHS rather than the pharmacy ordering on your behalf

Advantages

-Speeds up the process of issuing medication

-Gives patients better control over the ordering of their medication

-less wastage as you are only ordering what you need. Current arrangements mean many medicines are routinely ordered but not needed.

-Reduced risk of mistakes and errors. Improved safety by avoiding stockpiling of medication and prevent medication that has been stopped from being re-ordered by mistake

-Save practice time (esp if ordered on-line)
