Nature as Therapy—No Appointment Needed

Did you know that being in nature is now prescribed by doctors in some countries?
It’s called ecotherapy, and it’s based on what we intuitively know:
🌿 Trees listen & communicate
🌿 Natural light nourishes you
🌿 Nature holds space for your energy

If you’re feeling anxious, burnt out, or emotionally stuck—try this:

Go outside.

Sit quietly for 10 minutes.

Just observe—your breath, the light, the wind.

You don’t have to fix anything. Just be.

The Somatic Magic of Being Barefoot

Grounding. Earthing. Rewilding.
Whatever you call it, walking barefoot in nature is medicine for your nervous system.
It activates pressure points, calms your body, and—yes, science says it—can reduce inflammation and support sleep. 💤

So next time you’re at the park or in your garden…
Take your shoes off.
Feel the Earth.
Let your body remember what it means to belong here.

🌍 When was the last time you felt the earth beneath your feet?

Falling Into Balance: An Autumn Reset Day

Full Day Retreat, Edale village hall, 14th September 2025

As we enter the season of autumn, nature calls us to find balance—between movement and rest, holding on and letting go. This retreat day is crafted to help you attune to autumn’s gentle rhythm, inviting you to release what no longer serves you, restore equilibrium, and nurture your inner glow as the days grow shorter.

Autumn is a season of peaceful transformation and grounding, an ideal time to reconnect with yourself and find balance within. Amid the softening colors and crisp air, this retreat offers you space to reflect on the past season, reset, and realign with your natural rhythms. By embracing the flow of Autumn, you’ll shed stagnant energy, replenish your inner reserves, and leave with a renewed sense of balance and clarity for the quieter months ahead.

Let me introduce myself - to those who are new to me or haven't spotted some of my changes and growth...

I'm a women’s embodiment mentor who weaves together physical training, somatic yoga, womb therapy, and menstrual cycle awareness to help women feel deeply at home in their bodies.

I embraced yoga over 20 years ago and over time I realised that true strength isn’t just in the muscles — it’s in the nervous system, the cycles, and the stories our bodies hold. That led me to study somatic practices, women’s health, and womb healing as well as personal training so I could support women in a way that honours both science and soul.

Today, my work is about guiding women back to their natural rhythm — helping them move, heal, and live with connection and confidence through every phase of life.

Whether your going through menopause or recovering postpartum, or if your body and mind are aching for some recalibration.

Why Menopause Support at Work is a Business Strategy
🔹 Fact: 1 in 10 women leave their job due to menopause symptoms.
🔹 Fact: 30% of women take long-term sick leave due to severe menopause symptoms.

Menopause-friendly workplaces see:
✅ Increased employee retention
✅ Higher engagement & well-being
✅ Lower absenteeism

I offer menopause education sessions for teams and managers—helping businesses create a supportive environment where women feel valued, not forced out.

If your workplace isn’t talking about menopause yet, it’s time. Let’s start the conversation.

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of medicine that has been practised for thousands of years, focusing on achieving balance in the body through natural remedies and techniques. In the context of menopause, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to managing the symptoms and challenges that come with this life transition.

One key aspect of Ayurveda in managing menopause is through diet and nutrition. Certain foods are believed to be beneficial in balancing hormones and reducing symptoms. For example, incorporating cooling foods like cucumbers and coconut water can help alleviate hot flashes, while adding warming spices such as ginger and turmeric can aid in digestion and metabolism.

Another important element of Ayurveda for menopause is the use of herbs and supplements. Traditional herbs like ashwagandha, shatavari, and gokshura are commonly used to support hormone balance and overall well-being during menopause. These herbs are believed to have adaptogenic properties, meaning they help the body adapt to stress and restore balance.

Ayurvedic practices such as yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork) can also be beneficial for women going through menopause. These practices help in reducing stress, improving sleep quality, and enhancing overall physical and emotional well-being.

In Ayurveda, menopause is seen as a natural opportunity for women to focus on self-care and nourishment. It can be very simple and easy to incorporate this magic into your daily routine.

I love running women's circles and even better I am always blown away with pride and admiration when women join me on retreat for a weekend of laughter, tears, movement, stillness and magic!

There is no feeling in the world like sitting around a fire with like minded women and feeling that shift of energy - its primal, its radical and its what the world needs more of right now. Its what WE need more of right now.

Women, Cycles & the Earth

Women’s bodies are cyclical—just like the seasons, the moon, and the tides.
But many of us live in constant summer-mode: go, do, achieve, produce.
When we reconnect with nature, we begin to remember the wisdom of rest. Of slowness. Of inner rhythm. 🌿

Nature reminds us:
🌑 There is power in the dark
🍂 There is beauty in letting go
🌸 There is renewal on the other side

✨ Want to feel more in sync with your body and the seasons? Start by going outside—no goals, just presence.

04/12/2025

One of the reasons I do what I do is because I believe in the power of women supporting women.

What why I host retreats, circles and workshops that bring women together to heal, grow and hopefully have a lot of fun doing it.

The Nervous System Reset We All Need

Feeling overwhelmed? Anxious? Mentally exhausted?
Try this: go outside and sit with a tree for 10 minutes.
Science shows that time in nature lowers cortisol (your stress hormone), slows your heart rate, and calms your nervous system.
This isn’t just nice—it’s necessary. 💚
When you feel dysregulated, nature is the medicine.
