The team specialises in high-quality dementia, nursing and residential care for older people on a respite or permanent basis. This state-of-the-art care home features large, spacious en-suite rooms for all residents, with special touches that help to set them apart from other care homes. The excellent range of luxury facilities includes a hair and beauty salon, a welcoming café, a cinema room and beautifully landscaped sensory gardens. The dedicated lifestyle team gets to know each resident to provide a tailored activities programme, including group and one-to-one activities, as well as outings to local areas of interest.

Yesterday, residents enjoyed a lively Easter egg hunt 🐣🌼
Eggs were hidden around the home, mainly in the Bistro and garden. With the help of little sign boards, residents went around collecting eggs, each leading to another surprise; all the egg shells contained mini Easter egg chocolates inside!
A great fun day was had by all. ❤️

Residents recently enjoyed some lovely Easter crafts with Aimee 🐰🌸
They created beautiful Easter wreaths and bunny hangings, decorating wooden wreaths and hangers using cotton and paint. A fun and creative activity enjoyed by everyone!

On Friday, we welcomed a new entertainer, Marcus Drew, to Ridley Manor 🎶
He quickly won over the residents with his fantastic guitar skills and warm vocals. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session, clapping, tapping, and singing along to the familiar tunes. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with music, smiles, and great energy.💛

We had a lively Easter-themed Kiddleydivey session with Heddi this morning 🐰🌸

With Easter bunnies (of course, the stuffed kind!) and colourful Easter bonnets, Heddi kept residents engaged with gentle arm and foot exercises, along with cheerful sing-alongs. It was a wonderful session filled with movement, laughter, and lots of Easter fun.

When the weather brightened up, staff supported residents on a lovely trip to our nearby duck pond for some fresh air and a few cheerful quacks along the way! 🦆☀️
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine, the peaceful surroundings, and the welcome change of scenery. Outings like these are always a wonderful way to lift spirits and make the most of the warmer days.

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone at Ridley Manor- Audrey and Wreford’s 71st wedding anniversary 💛

Wreford had always wanted to try sushi but never had the opportunity, so we arranged a surprise lunch date for the couple at a sushi restaurant. They both tried sushi for the very first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, making it a truly memorable outing. 🍣 🍱

The celebrations continued back at Ridley Manor with a wonderful afternoon filled with music from a talented saxophonist- Rich Aust, followed by a cake cutting, and a lovely cheese and wine gathering shared with their family and other residents. 🎷🧀 🍷

And the day didn’t end there; the couple were also treated to their favourite meals for supper, specially prepared by our chefs.
It was truly an honour for us to celebrate such an incredible journey of love and togetherness. 💫❤️

We brought a little bit of Irish magic to Ridley Manor yesterday ☘️💚
The day was filled with music, laughter and plenty of Irish cheer! Jess from Jolly Old Time Entertainment led a wonderfully engaging session, getting everyone singing along to lively Irish tunes. In the afternoon, Ben from our Lifestyle Team kept the fun going with a brilliant St. Patrick’s Day quiz that had everyone involved.
And of course, no celebration would be complete without a little treat- residents enjoyed a touch of Baileys to round off the festivities perfectly! 🥂

Last Saturday, we held our ‘Celebration of Life’ event at Ridley Manor, in remembrance of the residents we have lost over the past year. It was a heartfelt and meaningful occasion, bringing together staff, residents and families to honour and reflect on the lives of those who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Thank you to all the families who took the time to join us, and a special thank you to Pastor Scott from Elim Hope Church: Lane End for leading such a thoughtful and comforting service. Your loved ones are never forgotten and will always be remembered. 🤍

Yesterday, we celebrated Mother’s Day with some very special deliveries for the wonderful female residents of Ridley Manor.
Each lady received a lovely gift bag containing a compact mirror (a little reminder of how beautiful they all are) along with hand cream and delicious Lindt chocolates. It was our small way of showing appreciation and saying thank you to all the incredible mothers who are part of our Ridley Manor family.💐

Mother’s Day Crafts at Ridley Manor 🌸

With the help of Aimee from Rex and Rose, residents enjoyed a lovely creative session making paper bouquets and handmade cards in celebration of Mother’s Day. They carefully coloured and decorated their creations, bringing each bouquet to life with their own unique touch.

It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to express their creativity while preparing something special for the occasion. A big thank you to Aimee for supporting such a joyful and engaging activity.
