Yet another fabulous afternoon was had by all at Ridley Manor as we celebrated Romanian Union Day, yesterday! Our wonderful Romanian staff, including our Clinical Nurse Manager Gabby, put together a beautiful display of traditional dishes, dressed in their vibrant cultural attire, and shared stories about their heritage. They even brought the room to life with traditional music and dancing.
With an additional insightful presentation from Mohammed, residents enjoyed learning about Romanian culture while savouring the delicious food. It was a joyful and enriching celebration for everyone. 🇷🇴✨

Yesterday, we had a lovely afternoon celebrating St. Andrew’s Day! Residents enjoyed a virtual trip to Scotland, and it was extra special to have some of the Scottish residents take part.

The session began with an insightful presentation by Mohammed, followed by heart-warming stories and conversations about Scottish culture and traditions.

We wrapped up the celebration with delicious Scotch eggs and the famous Tunnock's tea cakes. A truly memorable afternoon filled with connection, culture, and joy! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙🤍

Yesterday, the whole Ridley Manor family came together to bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear Deputy Manager, Faith, as she begins her new journey as a Home Manager at another Care UK home. Residents and staff gathered to celebrate her, and she was truly spoilt with thoughtful gifts and warm wishes. We will miss her greatly, but we are so proud of her achievement. 💛

To mark International Men’s Day, we hosted a lively Horse Race Afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of cheer. Residents and guests enjoyed a wonderful spread featuring cheese and beer, making the afternoon even more special. There were also exciting prizes for the winners, adding an extra spark to the fun! 🐎🍻

A heartfelt thank you to Laceys' Family Farm for generously donating the cheese, and to Rebellion Beer Co. Ltd. for gifting a complimentary pack of beers for our celebration.
And, of course, a big thank you to all the gentlemen in our home, and those from the community, who joined us and helped make this event such a success. ❤️

Honouring Remembrance Day at Ridley Manor 🌺

This Remembrance Day, residents came together to observe a two-minute silence at 11am, reflecting on and honouring those who served and sacrificed. Later in the morning, they enjoyed a meaningful art session with Amy from Rex and Rose, painting beautiful poppies on canvas, each one a heartfelt tribute. 🎨

In the afternoon, the mood lifted with a Remembrance-themed performance by Sparky and Sprite, which had everyone singing, clapping, and even dancing along. A day of reflection, creativity, and joy shared together. 🌹
