High Wycombe Shopmobility Hire of electric scooters, manual & powered wheelchairs for use around High Wycombe & overnight hire. Disability and mobility aids available for sale in store.

Since 1994, High Wycombe Shopmobility's aim has been to promote independence and enhance daily living for anyone with limited mobility; whether temporary or permanent and whether registered disabled or not. By hiring the use of manual and powered wheelchairs as well as electric scooters and a small selection of rollator walking frames, our equipment has enabled hundreds of users to have the freedom of High Wycombe town centre for shopping, business and leisure purposes. In addition, we also offer short term and overnight hire of travel scooters and manual wheelchairs. *Price list in pinned post*

We also carry a range of new and preloved disability and mobility aids for sale. Please call or visit our store to find out what is available. As High Wycombe Shopmobility is a registered charity (Charity No. 1040164), any additional donations towards the annual running costs are are always appreciated as well as support at our fundraising activities and around our shop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday during the High Wycombe Christmas Lights Switch On and supported our ChocFest 2025 fundraising event. It was wonderful to meet so many friendly faces, and your generosity helped us raise an amazing £527.00 towards the sustainability of our charity. Every contribution strengthens our work in supporting people with mobility needs across our community, and we are truly grateful.

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our fantastic volunteers, who happily gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the day run smoothly. Their support continues to be at the heart of everything we do.

Part-time Co-ordinator

Would you like to be part of a small team making a difference?
High Wycombe Shopmobility requires part-time staff member/s to join their small, dedicated team providing an invaluable service to the community.

We are looking for one or two people to join our team to work up to 3 days a week, including Saturdays, with additional days to cover other staff absences.

The hours to be worked are 9.15am to 5pm (7.75 hours per day), there may be some flexibility on which day’s you would be required to work.

The role involves co-ordinating the operation and administration of the Shopmobility Service based Eden Shopping Centre, High Wycombe.

Applicants will need to be a team player and flexible with the tasks which they are asked to undertake. They will be expected to manage bookings and serve customers; this will involve some light lifting. Some computer literacy is desirable. You would also be partly responsible for fundraising events and vehicle maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess good organisational, communication and social skills. They will understand the needs of people with disabilities and will be able to motivate and lead a team of volunteer helpers. On occasions they may have to work on own, full on-site training will be given to successful applicant.

Salary is £94.63 per day

High Wycombe Shopmobility Announcement

Clear Line Maintenance are commencing the façade survey works at Eden Apartments this coming Monday 15th September for 4 weeks. This will mean that the disabled parking bays outside High Wycombe Shopmobility will be out of service until the works have been completed.

High Wycombe Shopmobility will remain open as normal during these works and apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
