London Marathon 2025 – Start Line Medical Providers

57,000 runners.
20+ EMATS medics.
5 treatment zones.
1 rapid response vehicle.
All ready for race day!

Our medics, paramedics, EMTs, ECAs, and first responders were stationed across all zones, keeping everyone safe, supported, and medically prepared to start their marathon journey.

Our work didn’t stop at the start line.. EMATS provided full medical support right through to the very last runner with our end-of-race convoy team.

We also delivered build and break medical cover, ensuring everyone involved behind the scenes stayed safe from setup to pack-down.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part- we hope you’re feeling proud of your incredible achievements!

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing medical team for their skill, dedication, and hard work.

Last night, EMATS provided medical cover for the Fulham FC vs. Manchester United Match at Craven Cottage.

The game saw a total of only 13 shots from both teams the entire match. Marking the lowest total for a premier league match this season. Looks like the strikers were saving us all from a spike in heart rates!

This Thursday, Fulham FC celebrated a 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, with Alex Iwobi stealing the show!

Iwobi was instrumental, capitalising on a defensive error to open the scoring and later sealing the win with his second goal. 🔥

This result not only pushed Fulham up to 6th place in the Premier League but also extended their unbeaten run against Brighton to an impressive nine matches- a record worth celebrating!

EMATS was proud to be part of the action, working alongside Fulham’s skilled medical team to ensure the safety of everyone attending Fulham that evening.

We recently received a heartfelt message from Richard, a participant who experienced an unexpected collapse during a half marathon where we provided medical cover. Sharing his experience Richard thanked EMATS for swift intervention that ultimately saved his life.

In Richard’s own words:

“I wanted to give you and your team a heart felt and personal thank you for saving my life on that strange morning. If it wasn’t for the quick intervention, I wouldn’t be here today…
I simply cannot say it enough. I am a 33-year-old dad with a loving wife and 3 young children who had a high possibility of losing their dad that day if you and your team hadn’t stepped in and done all the right things exactly when you did.”

Richard’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of being prepared and having the right tools and training in place. We’re grateful for his recovery, for the courage it took to share this experience and we are honoured to be part of his life-saving story.

Lee Valley VeloPark!

We’re thrilled to have been the medical team supporting this incredible 6,000-seat velodrome event over the past three days.

With a lineup of world and Olympic champions competing head-to-head, it’s been an intense few days of racing, and we’ve been there every step of the way to keep everyone safe.

Our doctor-led team, complete with multiple paramedics, responders, and ambulances, has been on-site to ensure that both competitors and spectators received immediate and expert medical care whenever needed.
