Sciatica - Did you see in the most recent NVN our article about sciatica?

It's a difficult condition to write about because there are so many causes and so many different experiences of the pain. Some people just have a little pain running down the back of their leg, but if you're unlucky you'll have agonising, lightening-type pain shooting down your leg.

Remembrance Sunday - as always, if you've got nobody to stand with on Sunday, and want some company, Steven will be outside the clinic and will be happy for you to join him.

Sadly, his father won't be joining him this year as he's not feeling robust enough, but he'll be there in spirit representing the Royal Marines.

Thoracic outlet syndrome. Often mis diagnosed, it causes pain and/or pins and needles down the arm. It's caused by compression between the first rib, the collar bone and the muscles in that area. And it can be sooooo painful.

Rehab and treatment are a great way to get rid of the pain. It can take a while to get it back to normal, but we're not looking at months and months.

If you get in for treatment quickly it's really helpful as it's easier to get you better, but if it's long standing pain, we can still work with you. We might be a bit stricter about making sure you do your exercises at home though!

Weekend news, in which there is learning, skating and mummy sausages!!

Aiden (sports massage) was on a course learning new techniques to delight us with.

Elaine from the aesthetics team went to Cornwall where her dog had the time of her life on the beach every day !🐶 🌊

Samantha (microdermabrasion) saw the ice show Independence of the Seas. ⛸

Brooke went to the rugby at Wembley with a lot of South Africans and made mummy sausages with Aiya for Halloween!! 👻

Danielle (foot health) and her dog both had haircuts! No photos, sadly.

Roxy wasn’t feeling well over the weekend so needed a snuggle blanket and a hug. We're not sure Badger was really up for the hug.

Claire proved to the world that her photography skills haven't improved 🐴. And she made a carrot cake with only two ingredients missing - and unusually low number for her.

Christian has been a hypnotherapist and mindset coach in the clinic since the year we opened (nearly 20 years!). His work has also taken him to some unusual places as he's helped a number of celebrities in that time. He's familiar with the TV sets of the BBC, Sky, ITV and Channel 5. So our TV studio in Higham will be quite small compared to what he's used to!

Hosting today will be Injury Rehabilitation Specialist Jay Sheridan. It's his first day as a host, despite being a regular on the show, so it should be fun.
