Together with the UK Health Security Agency, we are advising the public to stop using and dispose of specific non-sterile alcohol-free wipes as they may be contaminated with a bacteria called Burkholderia stabilis.

Essential bit of life saving kit and his to use them is included on all First Aid courses

Defibs significantly increase the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest, yet in 2023, they were used in just 8.3% of cases outside hospitals.

This is why greater public awareness and education is needed. These devices save lives, but only if people have the confidence to use them.

Another excellent EFAW today for staff at a local care home . Delegates were a bit camera shy but Annie was happy to pose for a quick photo.

Everyone deserves the best chance at survival when it comes to CPR. Research from St John Ambulance found that 1 in 3 people are afraid to give lifesaving CPR to a woman because they are worried about touching her breasts.

This gender gap in CPR needs to change. Learn how to perform CPR and use a defibrillator on a woman.

After a short break and a decent drive to Leicester I have an EFAW at one of my regular clients at based in the centre of Leicester. Should be a good but busy day with a full group.

When you have a course straight after you return from holiday , it’s always a struggle 🤷‍♀️
But when you get a great group and even better feeedback it just makes it all worthwhile 😎

Another EFAW at an amazing company who provide Dom Care to individuals.
Great day with a small but interactive group. Whilst there Annie made friends with Sid 😊 and also fancied getting a uniform.
