Our lovely residents at The Ashton Care Home would love to see your little monsters, witches, and superheroes all dressed up for Halloween! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️🧛‍♀️

Pop over between 5:15 – 6:15pm to show off those spooky (or silly!) costumes, enjoy some Halloween fun, and grab a little trick-or-treat goodie 🍬🍭

☕ And don’t worry, parents — we’ve got you covered too with a free hot drink to keep you warm while you join the fun!

We had a wonderful time coming together in our recent staff meetings to celebrate some fantastic achievements and milestones!

🎉 A huge congratulations to Emma and our amazing Kitchen Team for achieving a 5-Star rating once again in an unannounced Environmental Health inspection! Your hard work, high standards, and dedication to our residents’ wellbeing truly shine through. 🌟👨‍🍳

💐 A heartfelt thank you to Abya and Tilly, who were specially recognised by both residents and their families for being outstanding members of our care team. Your compassion and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we’re so proud to have you with us.

🎊 And a big congratulations to Emma and Sue on reaching an incredible 10 years of service at The Ashton! Your loyalty and care over the past decade have helped make our home the special place it is.

We had a truly magical day at the Ashton Care Home as welcomed some very special guests from Owl adventures and their Birds of Prey

Our residents were delighted to meet a variety of beautiful owls and majestic birds. There were plenty of smiles gentle stikes and wide eyes as our feathered friends made the rounds, even visiting those in their rooms for more personal encounter.

Its moments like these that bring joh, comfort a d unforgettable memories to everyone in our community .

🌸 A Joyful Morning at The Ashton 🌸

Today our residents were truly uplifted by a beautiful church service right here at The Ashton Care Home. With hearts full of peace and voices raised in harmony, we sang classic hymns – including a special favourite, “All Things Bright and Beautiful.”🎶💒

There’s something truly special about gathering together in worship – it brings comfort, connection, and so much joy to our community. We’re so grateful to our visiting clergy and volunteers for sharing their time, faith, and music with us.

Thank you to our local churches for your continued support and presence.

We look forward to many more moments of faith, fellowship, and song. ✨

🌟 A Wonderful times the Ashton over the past couple of weeks 🌟



It’s been a heartwarming and lively week for our residents, filled with smiles, music, and memories. 🧡



We welcomed back Musical Moments, who once again had everyone tapping their toes and moving to the rhythm with their brilliant use of instruments and interactive music sessions.



A big thank you to Hinckley Past & Present for joining us for a special reminiscence session! Residents loved chatting about the old and new town—what a lovely way to reflect and connect over shared stories.

We also hosted a meaningful Victory over Japan (VJ) Day coffee morning, where residents shared personal memories and honored the day with warmth and respect.

A little brain workout was in order too, with games and puzzles designed to get our minds moving and keep the fun flowing!


To top it all off, we had a fantastic visit from the talented David McFegan, who brought his accordion and filled our home with joyful tunes and great energy. What a treat!

And of course, no week would be complete without a good old catch-up over drinks, sharing laughter and stories with friends.



Thank you to all our visitors, entertainers, and staff who help make moments like these so special. ❤️

Our wonderful residents had a fantastic time staying active with some fun movement exercises led by the lovely Zoe — a great way to get those limbs moving and spirits lifted! 🧘‍♀️🎶

We also embraced our creative side with a flower arranging session, where residents helped design beautiful centrepieces to brighten up our home. 🌸🌿

It’s always a joy to see everyone engaged, smiling, and supporting each other. Well done to all who took part!

After 3 wonderful years, we're saying a fond farewell to the incredible team from.University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL)

The UHL team has been based on the second floor of our home, supporting the vital work helping patients transition safely from hospital to home. The presence brought energy, compassion, and collaboration that we'll tully miss.

We're so proud to have played a small part in supporting the wider healthcare system during such crucial time.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at UHL and we wish them best of luck for the future in their new home Preston lodge in Leicester
