🏥Local NHS services are under significant pressure this winter due to rising flu, COVID, RSV and sickness bug cases.
📈Flu levels are expected to peak just before Christmas, with hospital demand already much higher than last year.
👉Help protect yourself and the NHS:
✔Make sure you’re up to date with flu, COVID and RSV vaccinations
✔Stay home if you’re unwell, rest, hydrate and practice good hand hygiene
✔Use your community pharmacist for minor illnesses like sore throats and earaches
✔Use the NHS App and NHS 111 for advice and support
✔Only attend A&E for serious or life-threatening emergencies
NHS staff will be working throughout Christmas and New Year. Getting the right care early helps keep services available for those who need them most.
