Breast tissue preservation utilising the Preservé technique is the latest and cutting edge for women seeking breast enlargement (augmentation) surgery. Rather than using the traditional method of cutting breast tissues (nerves/blood vessels/ligaments) with electrocautery (electric scalpel) a balloon is inserted to stretch the tissues and thereby preserve the tissues, resulting in less pain post-surgery, less swelling, a quicker return to work (1-2 days instead of 1-2 weeks with the traditional method), quicker return o full activity such as the gym (1 week as opposed to 6 weeks), and can be performed under a local anaesthetic (numbing injection) with or without sedation instead of a general anaesthetic (asleep) should you wish to avoid a general anaesthetic.
