👻 Happy Halloween! 👻
✨ We’re mixing up a recipe for the Perfect Pelvic Floor! ✨

🧂 Ingredient 1: The Right Squeeze
Strong enough to keep you dry when needed, but not constantly gripping or bracing.

💧 Ingredient 2: The Release
Letting go is just as important!
It allows full emptying of the bladder & bowel

🌸 Ingredient 3: Flexibility
To allow comfortable movement, function and stretch

✨ Secret Ingredient: Balance
A healthy pelvic floor doesn’t stay “tight” all the time, it responds, adapts, and supports you through breathing, movement, and life.

🍯 The perfect pelvic floor isn’t spooky or stiff, it’s smart and strong!

🩷 Not sure if yours has the right mix?
We can help! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Book an assessment or message us to learn more.

🌸 World Menopause Day 2025 🌸

Today we highlight the role of lifestyle medicine in supporting women’s health during and after menopause.

Menopause is movement not just a moment.

Exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress management are powerful tools that will help to manage symptoms, bone health, cardiovascular wellbeing, and pelvic function.

Small, sustainable changes can make a meaningful difference.

Going ‘Just in case’?

We all do it. Most of the time it’s common sense to go to the toilet if we are going on a long journey, or for a run or a long walk.

But what happens when this becomes a habit and we can’t leave the house or go past a toilet without a just in case trip?

🌸 The bladder gets confused and thinks it can only hold a small volume of urine

🌸 We start getting ‘I’m full’ messages when the bladder is not full

🌸 If we learn to delay these urges we can retrain the bladder to hold more volume again and reduce toilet trips.

What is normal?
- 6-8 toilet trips a day
- Volumes of 250-350ml each time
- No urgency or pain
- Getting to the toilet in a calm manner, without panic

If this is not your usual routine, pelvic health physio can help. We often ask you to complete a fluid volume chart which helps to highlight your bladder habits which we can then address and improve.

You can find your local pelvic health physio on the or please get in touch.
