🌿 What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong comes from ancient Eastern medicine and philosophy, developed over thousands of years.

It is a gentle practice of movement, breathing, and focus that helps your body unblock and rebalance what we call energy or Qi (pronounced Chi)

That energy is simply your lived experience in the body: breath, circulation, tension, stress, vitality. When life gets busy, stressed, or sedentary, that flow can feel stuck… leaving you stiff, tired, wired, or flat.

There’s a strange little circus happening on social media right now 🎪

A group of men.
A flimsy prop.
A “fun” Reformer Pilates class that turns into a public roasting session.

Exhaust them. Make them shake uncontrollably in made up exercises. Compare them to women making it look easier. Film it. Mock them. Post it on social media for others to laugh at or pick up ideas to do to more guys.

And here’s the question no one seems to be asking:

If this were a room full of women… would we still think it’s funny?

Because we don’t.
When from in Belgium got together for a chat with The Wellbeing Pod owner Michelle , they were both in complete agreement.

Pilates isn’t meant to humiliate and exhaust. It’s meant to build and nurture.

What men actually need from something like Pilates isn’t to be made a punchline. It’s to:
- open up tight hamstrings that have been gripping for years
– release lower backs that carry stress like a rucksack of bricks
– create space in hips that haven’t seen daylight for decades
– and harness the strength and power they already have

That’s where the magic is. Not in the mockery. ✨

Done properly, Pilates doesn’t shrink anyone down.
It expands them. Physically. Mentally. Confidence-wise.

But the versions we keep seeing online?
They’re doing neither.

They’re not building strength.
They’re not improving mobility.
They’re just… performing discomfort for views.

We can do better than that.

Train people. Don’t ridicule them. 💥
