Fab day at Healing Hooves. A small group from the BBO Project came along this morning prepared for the hot weather, suncream, water and a fab enthusiasm. After retrieving 'Ebony' from an area which wasn't really ment to be frequented by a Highland Pony 🙈. Eleanor enjoyed a pamper session of a bath from two of the participants, with some Apple and some raspberry shampoo, she smells like a fruit salad now🤣. Eleanor managed to stop eating the grass while being washed and really enjoyed the attention. Meanwhile one participant carried out poo picking duties and enjoyed some interaction with Ebony while she was grazing (in the correct area) 👍🤩. Each session I ask what would everyone like to do the following week, so next week more poo picking, feeding and everyone is brining a packed lunch for a chill out time In the field. There will be Birthday Cake due to the fact I will be a year older by next Thursday 🙈🤣 Thanks for coming along, look forward to next week. 🎂👍😎

Fantastic day at Healing Hooves today. Six new participants attend a taster session at Ceadarwood Stables. All the participants and their mentors enjoyed the beautiful weather and natural surroundings. They spent time with one of the horses 'Elenor' an amazing Highland Pony who enjoyed a full on pamper session of grooming and general affection. Archie the king of shetland ponies, provided some more opportunities for a stroke and cuteness overload. I look forward to welcoming the participants back for a four week course which will include time spent at their own pace enjoying time out with the horses and in nature. Lovely to meet everybody in such glorious conditions 🌞🌞🌞

Yesterday Frank made his debut for Healing Hooves at Ion Bridge Farm by supporting Discolious for their fundraiser for Keech. He was perfectly behaved and throughly enjoyed all the visitors who came to meet him. His first time being a Benny Hill impersonator reindeer. We look forward to welcoming new participants to Healing Hooves to enjoy our heated indoor barn for the winter sessions.

Three fantastic sessions today. Participant one, enjoyed some time brushing and then taking a small pony for a walk. Participant two took themselves into the paddock and poo picked while interacting with the horses. Participant three who I haven't seen in over a year was chatting away and had a fantastic smile while brushing a Highland pony. So proud of the horses and equally proud of how the Participants confidence in themselves is growing and evolving. Really good day at the office 🤩
