If you're thinking of having a build-up of excess earwax removed with microsuction, here's some helpful tips!

1) Don't use cotton buds to try and remove earwax yourself.
Chances are, you'll do more harm than good by pushing any earwax further into the canal and towards the eardrum.

2) Don't use Otex or Otex Express ear drops. These drops contain hydrogen peroxide which can soften the earwax too much and make it a lot harder to remove with microsuction. Plus, they can irritate the sensitive skin of the ear canal.

3) Use olive oil drops, or an olive oil spray prior to removal.
We recommend Earol spray. 1 spray in each ear, twice a day for 2-3 days is sufficient to soften it enough for removal.

4) Call a professional to remove the earwax for you.
