Sepsis can be life-threatening — early recognition is vital.
🚨 Look out for:
👶 Difficult to wake or very sleepy
🌡️ Very high or low temperature
💨 Fast breathing
💦 Cold hands and feet
🧒 Mottled, blue, or pale skin
😢 No interest in feeding or playing
🗣️ Weak or high-pitched cry

Around 100,000 strokes occur in the UK each year, which is about one stroke every five minutes. Acting FAST is life saving!!!!!! How do you recognise a stroke?
F- Facial weakness- can the person smile? Has their mouth or arm drop?
A- Arm weakness- can the person keep both arms raised?
S- speech problems- can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
T- Time to call 999- if they fail any test.
Other symptoms:
Balance- sudden loss of balance , trouble walking, dizziness and loss of coordination
Eyes- sudden vision loss.
The number of stroke-related deaths has declined by 49% in the past 15 years, due to better prevention, earlier treatment, and more advanced treatment.

At this festive time of year we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended or booked a Lazarus Training course in 2025. Together, we’ve trained over 4,000 delegates in a range of first aid and trauma preparedness courses—empowering individuals and teams to save lives and make a real impact.

The lazarus offices will be temporarily closing to allow our team to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones

Our offices in the UK will close at 4pm TUesday 23rd December 2025, and will reopen at 9am on Friday 2nd January 2026.
