A reminder that it is the third Tuesday of the month so the practice will be closed from 1pm today for practice staff training. Please note our phone lines are off for the afternoon. Pre-booked appointments will still be going ahead.
If you need to speak to a GP urgently please ring 111 and for emergencies please ring 999.
The practice will re-open tomorrow at 8am.

This Thursday is Carers Rights Day! 📣 To celebrate the day and help make sure carers know their rights and all the support available in Kirklees, we're hosting a Carers Rights Day Event at Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield.

Come by from 1.30-5.30pm for information about support available locally, advice from our Carers Count team, some fun and relaxing activities, and of course, plenty of refreshments!

We've also got all our usual groups, including our Huddersfield Art Group, Tai Chi, and our Female Carers Group. All sessions are friendly, welcoming, and a chance to take time for you.

🌟 Winter Food Bank Donations – Can You Help? 🌟

As the colder months set in, many families in our community are facing extra challenges. This winter, we’re supporting our local food bank to help ensure no one goes without the essentials.

If you’re able to donate, we’re gratefully accepting items such as:

🫘 Tinned foods (soups, beans, vegetables, meats)
🍝 Pasta, rice, noodles
🥫 Sauces and cooking ingredients
🫖 Tea, coffee, long-life milk
🧻 Toiletries and hygiene products
🍫 Treats and snacks (always appreciated!)

You can drop donations off in the collection box in our main entrance during surgery opening hours.

Even the smallest contribution can make a big difference to someone in need. Thank you, as always, for your kindness and support.

🖤 Movember: Let’s Talk Men’s Health

It’s Movember — the month to grow a mo, move for men’s health, and start conversations that save lives.

Men are facing a health crisis they don’t often talk about — from prostate and testicular cancer to mental health and su***de prevention.

This month, we’re raising awareness and encouraging everyone to:
👨‍🦱 Grow a moustache to spark conversations.
🏃 Move for Movember — walk or run 60km for the 60 men lost to su***de every hour worldwide.
💬 Check in with the men in your life — sometimes a simple “How are you?” can make all the difference.

🌟 Flu Vaccine Update 🌟

Dear Patients, 90% of our flu vaccines have now been given — thank you to everyone who’s already come forward! 🙌

We only have a small number of vaccines left for patients aged 65 and over. With influenza infection rates already on the rise, we would much rather immunise you now than see you fall ill from a preventable illness.

✅ If you are eligible and haven’t yet had your flu jab, please contact the surgery as soon as possible to book your appointment.

Dear Patients,

We have seen an increase in abuse towards our staff regarding the covid-19 vaccination winter campaign. The guidelines have been changed and we can only vaccinate patients who are:
- Over 75
-In a residential care home
-Extremely Immunocompromised (Patients on injectable therapy, Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy)

We do not make the rules, so please do not abuse our staff.
