💤 You basically need a toddler bedtime routine again 💫

Menopause can seriously mess with your sleep.
One night you’re staring at the ceiling at 2am…
The next, you’re sweating, tossing, and turning like it’s your new workout 😅

Here’s the thing — during menopause, your body craves rhythm and predictability.
Just like a toddler 💤

And just like we wouldn’t let a toddler stay up scrolling TikTok or sipping coffee at 9pm… we probably shouldn’t either 👀

✨ Here’s why a bedtime routine matters:
🕯️ Your hormones love routine — it helps balance melatonin + cortisol
📵 Reducing screen time before bed boosts your natural sleep hormones
☕ Cutting back on caffeine + alcohol lets your body fully rest

💧 Let’s talk about va**nal dryness 💧

This one’s a biggie in perimenopause — and honestly, it was the first thing that sent me to the doctor before I even knew what perimenopause was!

But here’s the thing… it’s rarely talked about. Not even whispered about in corners.

During peri and post menopause, our oestrogen levels drop, and that hormone plays a huge role in keeping the tissues around the v***a and va**na thick, stretchy, and well-lubricated.

As oestrogen declines, the va**nal pH changes, becoming more alkaline. This can lead to:
✨ Dryness and itching
✨ Soreness or stinging
✨ Pain when sitting or wiping
✨ Difficulty wearing trousers or jeans (the seam can be torture!)
✨ Pain during s*x — which can put real strain on relationships
✨ More frequent UTIs

It can make us feel uncomfortable in our own bodies — and that’s hard.

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to just put up with it.
There are things that really help:
💧 Use va**nal moisturisers and lubricants (choose ones without nasties — Yes and Gloriah are great options)
💊 Consider topical oestrogen, available on prescription
🦠 Take a good probiotic
🍊 Speak to your healthcare provider about vitamins C and E
👖 Wear comfortable, natural fibres where possible
🗣️ And most importantly — TALK ABOUT IT!

The more we normalise these conversations, the more supported and empowered we all feel.
