Advanced Community Healthcare (ACH) offers numerous types of homecare calls, including short and long term care packages. We offer a range of services tailored to the individual, their needs, and their families.
Our highly skilled, experienced team of carers provide services for anyone requiring care from birth upwards, including clients with learning difficulties. Each assessment is carried out by a qualified highly skilled and experienced nurse, who will then formulate a plan of care agreed by you and your family, tailored to your specific requirements.
We offer a range of home help in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas including personal care service, meal preparation and nutritional needs, nursing care, administering medication, palliative care, dementia care, respite care, day sitting, night sitting and housework services.
We have no gimmicks, will not compromise on care, and will ensure that you and your family receive the highest quality standards every visit, every time, every day.
PERSONAL CARE
Whatever your capabilities or needs, our highly skilled team of carers can offer minimum or maximum assistance for all types of personal hygiene and dressing needs including showering and bathing. Our aim is for you to maintain as much of your independence as possible, whilst feeling comfortable and supported at all times.
MEAL PREPARATION AND NUTRITIONAL NEEDS
We cater to meet your nutritional needs through meal prompting, meal preparation and feeding if required. If you or your family feel that your appetite or eating habits have changed, we will monitor this for you through a nutritional intake chart that can then be presented to the appropriate professional. All our carers have to undertake a course in food preparation and hygiene as a mandatory requirement.
BASIC NURSING CARE
As nurses, we can train our carers to perform basic nursing tasks such as eye drops, ear drops, simple dressings, nebulisers, peg feeds, stoma care, application of creams and many more.
MEDICATION
Medication that has been appropriately prescribed can be prompted by the carers, accurately recorded, and problems highlighted to the management and family if needed.
PALLIATIVE CARE
We are extremely passionate about end of life care. Our experience as nurses allows us the understanding and empathy to provide care at such an emotional and challenging time. Our aim is to fulfil your goals and wishes, and our carers will fully support you and your family thoroughly, throughout all your time spent with us.
DEMENTIA CARE
We strongly believe that clients with dementia should have the choice to remain at home where appropriate, and we can implement quality care whilst allowing the time and patience needed by you and your family. We understand that clients with dementia may need more reassurance than before, and we will ensure that understanding and empathy is shown at all times. We can witness that medication is taken following prompting where appropriate.
RESPITE CARE
If your family are going away or need some time away, we can offer support to you within your home, either by calling up to 6 times a day or spending part or whole of the day with you. Each individual is different and our package will be tailored to suit you.
DAY SITTING
Our carers can sit with you and perform agreed tasks or just for general company.
NIGHT SITTING
This maybe an asleep or awake night for the carer depending on your needs.
CHILDREN AND LEARNING DIFFICULTIES
We cater for clients of all ages and with learning difficulties.
HOUSEWORK
Our in house experienced cleaner and carers can help you with your domestic duties including cleaning, ironing, washing and much more.
