In line with the recent Government guidelines announced last night, we are able to remain open to see our patients for scheduled appointments.
We will be following guidance from our National Bodies, and will respond accordingly if changes are introduced.

Please note that as a registered Healthcare Provider we will be unaffected by the lockdown on Thursday 5th November.

We are still able to offer our usual range of services including eye examinations, contact lenses and spectacles.

Our practice has been fully reopened for just under one week now following the necessary guidelines for a safe working environment during COVID-19.

COVID-19 UPDATE

We are pleased to announce that we will be reopening fully on Tuesday 23rd June. We are now able to make appointments for eye examinations.

Your health, safety and eye care is our priority, which is why we have taken extra measures for your protection. We’ll be regularly sanitising everything throughout your visit, and where we cannot social distance, our staff will be wearing PPE.

Update 1/6/2020

Essential Eyecare

Whilst routine examinations are currently still suspended, we are now able to offer examinations to:

· patients with clinical risk factors due to the passage of time since their last examination

· patients with vision problems including those with broken spectacles who are undertaking more vision-dependent tasks such as driving and working as the lockdown eases

· patients who are anxious or concerned about their vision and this may be impacting their wellbeing

If you feel that you may fall into one of these categories, or if you are having other problems, please give us a call and we can discuss whether making an appointment would be appropriate.

Important information regarding COVID-19 / Coronavirus

In line with Government, NHS England and The College of Optometrists recommendations, we will no longer be able to provide routine eye examinations.

We will however be available in practice for essential and urgent eyecare needs on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10.00 – 4.00pm.

If you feel that your needs are essential or urgent, then in order that we can maintain the safety of our staff and our patients, please call ahead prior to visiting the practice.

mobile 07851 698263 outside of these days and hours for help and advice.

We are still here for you and we look forward to serving all your eye care needs once this serious situation is resolved.

Important information regarding COVID-19 / Coronavirus.

In line with Government recommendations, we are asking any patient experiencing a temperature, or a new continuous cough to cancel their appointment over the phone and to rebook when they are fully recovered.

For those visiting the practice, hand sanitisers are available for staff and patients. When trying on frames, each one will be cleaned with an antiseptic wipe before going back on display.



We understand that some patients – especially those from more vulnerable groups [Over 70’s, or those with underlying health conditions] - may not be able to attend a clinic unless absolutely necessary. If these patients have any questions about the health of their eyes, please email or telephone the practice and we will arrange for an optometrist to phone you back. In some cases [subject to the date of your last sight test and our current frame stock] we may be able to make up and post out an emergency pair of spectacles based on your previous prescription and frame order.



If you are a contact lens wearer please let us know if you require any further supplies and we can arrange for them to be posted to you, even if you usually collect them from us.
