Donations needed 😩
Hi! 👋🏻 It’s me, Haili, the person behind ‘The Long and Short of it’! 🐶 I don’t post often - I find social media exhausting if I’m honest.. but there is always a huge amount going on behind the scenes..
As many of you are aware, we are a tiny, voluntary, one-man-band rescue. Despite our size and short reach, I receive messages and calls every week from people asking for help. Alongside dog rescue, I also take in injured or sick wildlife, and all manner of other animals in need. I am a registered vet nurse, dog behaviourist, dog walker, herbalist and I provide ongoing animal care, advice and even medical attention to anyone who reaches out - our adoptive families, strangers, my own doggy clients or of course, friends and family. I’m busy 24/7 it seems and it’s been this way my whole adult life. I feel incredibly honoured to spend my life with animals, and gladly offer my help to anyone who needs it. I love what I do and I couldn’t be any other way even if I tried! 🥰
BUT, unfortunately all this comes at a cost. Emotionally it definitely gets super tough but I have learned to manage that as best I can. Time management less so 😅 but financially I just simply can’t do it all..
Which is why I have to ask for donations every so often, especially when we have big outlays of money - the biggest of which is always, of course, veterinary bills. We currently owe just over £200 at our vets and will need another £200 to cover upcoming neutering costs of a current foster. There is also the ongoing cost of our foster dogs (mainly food, but also leads/harnesses if needed, training field hire, worm/flea treatments, and so on). All of which I cannot cover alone. We are already waaaay overdue on the vet bill and I would be so appreciative if all our amazing friends and followers would just donate a few ££’s - the price of a cuppa - to help us clear our debts 🙏🏼 I truly hate having to ask, especially when times are so tough for us all but even the smallest donation would make a huge difference to the dogs that need us ❤️🙏🏼
