This week is Cervical Cancer Prevention week. Taking care of your cervical health is one of the most important things you can do - and we’re here to make it as easy and comfortable as possible.

Cervical screening helps prevent cancer - and you have choices to make the appointment work for you.
Did you know you can:
✔ Ask for a female clinician
✔ Request a quiet or longer appointment
✔ Bring someone with you
✔ Ask for a chaperone
✔ Be added back to the recall list if you previously opted out by mistake

Been invited for cervical screening? Put your health at the top of your to-do list and book your appointment as soon as you can.

Modality East Surrey wins General Practice Team of the Year at National Awards

We are honoured to win General Practice Team of the Year at the General Practice Awards on Friday 5th of December.
Our merger created a single, high-performing, efficient practice serving more than 38,000 patients, underpinned by a shared clinical system, a unified digital front door and truly integrated multidisciplinary working. Since August 2024, over 84,000 medical requests have been managed, 92% through digital triage, freeing staff time and improving patient experience.

More than 1,300 appointments remain unused each month, now redirected to proactive care, frequent attender reviews and safer long-term condition management. Our birthday-month recall model, enhanced prescribing safety, daily huddles and strong culture of development have reshaped how we deliver continuity, equity and access. What unites us is a single purpose lived every day: consistent, reliable, compassionate care.

This recognition reflects the dedication of every member of our team and the belief that when we work as one, we can transform what general practice looks like for our patients and our staff.

We also want to celebrate Healthy Horley PCN, of which we are proud to be a part, for being named a finalist for Primary Care Network of the Year. Together, we’re showing what integrated neighbourhood working can achieve.

Thank you to everyone who joined our virtual patient engagement session on Wednesday.

For those who couldn’t attend, you can watch the recording below.

We loved hearing feedback like:

“It has been informative and a real eye opener. So many services I was unaware of. Looking forward to getting up to speed with it all! Thank you to the entire staff for the wonderful care provided to the community.”

"What an excellent service you provide. General Practice is underfunded yet you are providing a highly efficient service and always trying to improve in response to the feedback given. The introduction of the Rapid Health triage system has given me and my family very quick access to a GP and often more than not, to the GP I usually see. Access to appointments and to the staff, is better than ever."

Your support helps us shape the future of our practices - thank you!
