WALK IN FLU VACCINE APPOINTMENTS
If you been invited but not yet managed to book your flu vaccine, you can pop in and see us at Birchwood Medical Practice tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 25th October) between 1:30pm - 3:30pm.

Eligible patients only and need to be registered at either Smallfield Surgery or Birchwood. Further information on eligibility can be found here https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/

Please note that no covid vaccines will be available.

Targeted Lung Health Checks are now available in Horley!

If you're aged 55 to 74 and are a current or former smoker, you may be eligible for a free lung health check - provided we have your smoking status on record.

These checks are part of the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Programme, designed to detect lung problems early, when treatment is more likely to be effective and less complex.

Look out for a yellow envelope in the post. If you receive one, please take up the invite - it could save your life.

ONLINE APPOINTMENT BOOKING NOW AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER 16

We are pleased to share that our online appointment booking system is now open to patients under 16.

Appointments can be requested by:
• A parent or carer for children aged under 13
• The patient themselves if aged 13 or over

Online appointment booking is a quick and confidential way to get medical advice without needing to call the practice.

A valid email address is required to complete your request. For children under 13, the email address of a parent or carer can be used. For 13-15 year olds, it is preferred that the child uses their own contact details.

🚧 Travel Update – Smallfield Site 🚧 - UPDATED 6/10/25

Please be advised that the planned works which were due to take place in Wheelers Lane between Tuesday 7th October - Friday 10th October are now due to be done overnight instead between 8pm - 6am.

This should now minimise disruption and allow access to the Practice during normal hours.

🚧 Travel Update – Smallfield Site 🚧

Please be aware that roadworks are scheduled in Wheelers Lane, Smallfield from Tuesday 7th October – Friday 10th October -8am to 5pm

Surrey County Council has confirmed that access will be maintained for residents, Smallfield Surgery, the local school, and emergency services throughout this period.

However, we kindly ask all patients and visitors to allow extra time for their journeys to appointments at our Smallfield site during these dates, as some delays are expected.
