💃 £3,200 raised for LIVES!

Last night (17th), LIVES delivered a visit to the Burgh le Marsh Line Dancing Club, where the group presented an incredible £3,200 raised through fundraising activities across the year.

During the visit, LIVES delivered a CPR and defibrillator demonstration for members. As a close-knit community group meeting at the Burgh le Marsh WI Hall, many dancers and their families have personal connections to LIVES and wanted to support our life-saving work.

We’re proud to recognise one of our volunteers for their outstanding care following a road traffic collision.

During follow-up feedback, a patient’s family member shared just how impressed they were with the care provided, describing our responder as exemplary, highly knowledgeable and calm during an incredibly stressful situation.

They spoke of how reassuring it was to see such confidence and professionalism in action, and how it made a difficult moment feel more manageable, knowing their loved one was in such capable hands.

Our volunteers will be ready to respond over the festive period, but they can’t do it without your support.

Because of your incredible support for the Big Give Christmas Challenge, we didn’t just reach our £25,000 target, we exceeded it.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, and to the Reed Foundation for their generous match funding. Together, you helped raise £30,389, plus £1,416.75 in Gift Aid, giving a total of £31,805.75.

Our Story

LIVES is a charity supporting an army of highly trained and dedicated volunteer Medics and Community First Responders, living in communities across Greater Lincolnshire. Our volunteers get to members of their local community fast to administer vital emergency care before handing over to the ambulance service. A community based LIVES Responder could be the difference between life or death.

Our highly trained volunteer Community First Responders and medics are exactly that – volunteers. They are everyday people who give their free time to attending 999 medical emergencies within their local community. They are there for thousands of people each year and their actions save lives. To keep our volunteers on the road, we need to raise over £1.4 million each year from public donations.
