We have so much to look forward to in 2026, and one of the very best things will be the 4 of us doing what we love most, teaching yoga, Pilates and Barre Pilates. The photo above was taken earlier this year when we had all just finished Adriana's Saturday morning Barre class. We absolutely love attending each others classes and getting to be students as well as teachers.

Join us in 2026 for the 9th year of our Greek Island retreats. We now have many years of experience, adding more amazing activities for you to experience and enjoy during your stay. Many of our guests return time and time again which is testament to how outstanding our retreats are.

Let us introduce you to Yoga, Pilates, Poros Island and our friends.
Each morning we will take you on a blissful yoga journey, melting into your mat with a seamless hour of breathing, movement, and relaxation. In the afternoon enjoy Pilates and the benefits from this precise system of movement to increase strength, improve posture and flexibility, you will be amazed at how quickly you see improvements.

Between classes and in the evening enjoy Poros, relax, laugh, explore, eat, drink, breathe and sleep. Allow this enchanting island and warm climate to embrace you. Rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit in beautiful surroundings and in the company of other like-minded people.

Our retreats offer you quality 'me time' and self care, a whole week to relax, refresh and reset.

Thank you for being part of our wellbeing community and for your ongoing love and support. For our new students, we welcome you to our classes, workshops, retreats and events. For those living further away, it warms our hearts knowing you still read this newsletter and sometimes visit us for an individual class or reply with your news. Please continue to keep in touch and do come and join us whenever you can. You will always receive a very warm welcome.

Super Saturday Wellness Day

Dates: ​Saturday 29th November 2025

​Venue: Ardleigh House, Ardleigh Green, Hornchurch

Book the full day for: £50 or afternoon only for £35

9.30am - 10.30am Matwork Pilates with Pauline
Start your wellness day with a 'Pilates Fix' to wake up your mind and energise your physical body. This fun packed lesson will introduce you to the intentions and benefits of Matwork Pilates.

11am - 12 noon Barre Pilates with Adriana
Join us for a fabulous 'Barre Pilates class'. This fun and energising Barre Pilates class will give you a fabulous and uplifting workout for the whole body.

12.30pm - 2.30pm Yin Yoga and Crystal Bowls with Adriana

Yin yoga is known in the modern world as a style of yoga where you hold static poses (shapes) for a longer period of time. This is so the meridians of the body can be fully nourished and Chi can be directed along certain pathways. We will aim to hold shapes for 3-5 minutes. Within this practice we are targeting the tissues, ligaments, and tendons. This is a slow moving practice where we relax the muscles and move with minimal effort. When holding a shape, the tissues are compressed and placed under an appropriate amount of stress. We will be mindful to apply the right amount of stress in each pose, we are not looking to stretch or create the perfect shape, but to find a soft edge. On a scale of 1 to 10 you will be working at about 3 - 4. Yin gives us the opportunity for stillness of the body, where we can observe fluctuations of the mind connect with our natural breath. This practice calms and balances the mind and body.

The workshop will finish with a guided relaxation leading into a Crystal bowls sound healing session.

"A fabulous weekend in Margate, participating in different styles of Yoga and Pilates to suit all abilities. As well as opportunities to experience guided meditation, sound healing and massage. A great balance of activities in the perfect environment. Comfortable accommodation close to Margate Old Town, with the added bonus of a hot tub. All meals and teatime treats were homemade, wholesome and delicious. Pauline, Adrianna and Charlotte were amazing, making sure we all had a truly wonderful, relaxing and restorative weekend."

Do you find as day light hours reduce, you begin to feel just a little bit down in the dumps! You have less energy and just want to curl up and sleep!!! Going out in the evening becomes emotionally challenging especially if it's raining and cold outside. This is definitely the case for me. By keeping a positive mind set and ensuring you continue with a healthy routine, meeting up with friends, spending time outside in nature, attending your yoga and Pilates classes, you will nourish your mind, body and spirit, replenishing your happy endorphins. After these interventions, you will return home feeling pleased you went, and so much better in yourself.

If you’re constantly battling anxiety, overthinking, or feeling stuck in stress patterns… it’s not because you’re broken. It’s because your subconscious is following old programming.

That’s where hypnotherapy comes in. It’s a powerful, evidence-based way to calm the nervous system, rewire limiting beliefs, and gently create space for peace, clarity, and confidence.

Date: Friday 31st October

Cost: £35 full evening or £20 for the 2nd half of the evening (arrive at 7.30pm)

7.45pm - 8.30pm Hypnotherapy with Danniella Patricia
In this workshop Danniella will be guiding you through a relaxing hypnotherapy session lasting around 20 minutes. Please note; you do not go to sleep nor do you lose control of your own thoughts and actions in the process. It is completely safe and is scientifically backed.
This session will be in a group setting and based on stress and anxiety and how to manage the symptoms.
Within the session you will discover how to relax your entire body and mind. You will learn what true relaxation is, taking these skills forward in your life.
Questions and feedback are welcome after the hypnotherapy session has ended

Hypnotherapy can help with many conditions where psychological factors influence physical symptoms.

Returning home at the end of a joyful September
I am now home from Greece and reflect on September. I feel very blessed to say this September has been amazing. The month started with a family holiday, where my husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with Adriana, Charlotte and their boyfriends. This was followed by our September Greek Island retreat. This year was a slightly bigger and more dynamic group of people/personalities, creating and sharing so many special moments of joy and laughter. We could not have asked for more!

Returning home at the end of a joyful September
I am now home from Greece and reflect on September. I feel very blessed to say this September has been amazing. The month started with a family holiday, where my husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with Adriana, Charlotte and their boyfriends. This was followed by our September Greek Island retreat. This year was a slightly bigger and more dynamic group of people/personalities, creating and sharing so many special moments of joy and laughter. We could not have asked for more! Here are a few comments from our guest when they returned home:

"Amazing island, fabulous location (being so close to the beach) with comfortable and clean accommodation.

Morning Yoga started the day off perfectly leaving me feeling awakened and ready for whatever the day brought, be that a massage, an excursion, a walk to town or relaxing on the beach.

The Pilates session in the evening made for the start of a chilled evening and gave me a better insight into the art of Pilates

Being able to do as much or as little as I wanted during the day, and evening, was perfect but the company and friendship we formed during the week topped it all off - along with the amazing food at the Taverna - and the wine!!

All in all a fabulous retreat which reignited my love for yoga and a great insight into Pilates with our lovely teacher Pauline all set in the backdrop of the beautiful, and unspoilt, island of Poros. Audrey"

"I have been coming to Pilates since 2017 and have considered the September retreat many times before but as a widow travelling abroad alone is very daunting. I’m so glad I found the courage this year as from my initial enquiry to the time I came home there is help, guidance and support. From the minute I arrived on the island I felt relaxed and made to feel welcome. Walking up to the view of the bay was incredible and it was great to have the beach across the road.

It was really enjoyable to be able to attend both the yoga and Pilates classes and feel stronger than I did when I arrived.

Hello and thank you for visiting our page. My name is Pauline, owner and founder of Absolute Yoga and Pilates. I am a qualified Pilates, Yoga and specialist Ante & Post Natal teacher with many years of teaching experience.
