The BAPEN Online Self-Screening Tool

If you, a relative, or someone you care for has been losing weight without meaning to, it can feel worrying — you are not alone.

BAPEN’s simple self-screening tool can help check if support is needed, with gentle advice to follow at home. It also contributes to a national data collection to help understand malnutrition across the UK.
If the result shows HIGH risk, please contact a GP or healthcare professional, who can guide you and may refer you to a dietitian.

Our user experience of SHS was very positive. The management team took trouble and care to understand my parents' needs and interests and match them to appropriate care staff. They were always professional, attentive, helpful and flexible and worked effectively to find cover whenever needed. Whenever a new person was introduced someone would come to induct them.
The quality of carers was exceptional, always caring, engaging and people with whom my parents could have good intellectually stimulating conversations.
I always felt my parents were safe and well looked after. The idea of seniors helping seniors really worked for my parents. They responded well to a more mature and experienced person who they could relate to.
