What feeds your soul? For me it has always been music. I love music of all kinds, especially live. It can transport you off to another world. Yesterday afternoon me and the gorgeous Sammy took my dad to see the amazing “Glen Miller Orchestra”. He loves big band music and they didn’t disappoint.
What brings you joy and feeds your soul? Let me know below

This is what happens if you wait until you “feel ready” before you do something. It could be applying for a new job, joining a book club, moving forward in life.
You wait… and wait… and next thing you know, you’ve evolved into Sadie the Skeleton!! 😅
The thing is “ready” usually shows up after you start something and not before. I know this because this is one of the things that I have been plagued with in the past.
Here’s your gentle nudge to take that tiny, messy, imperfect first step today. Go and write your CV, ring that friend, go on a date, whatever it is that you need to do. Don’t be like Sadie!!

Today is world mental Health day. This years theme is “access to services-mental health in catastrophes and emergencies”.

The world is going through a tough time right now and even if you’re not directly affected by events, it can still feel like a lot to cope with. It’s okay to ask for help, no matter what you, or anyone else is going through. The problem today is that we have access to social media 24/7 should we chose to do so. Lots of us end up “doomscrolling “, constantly reading about all of the bad stuff and feeling overwhelmed.
We need to take time away from our electronic devices. And if watching the news becomes too upsetting, turn it over and watch something that will make you smile.
By looking after our own mental health we can help avert a catastrophe.
And my picture today sums up so much for so many of us. In Japan they repair broken objects with gold. It is called Kintsugi. The gold is seen not as a flaw but as a unique piece that adds to its beauty. It’s the same for us. Every time we feel broken and we mend the scars become a beautiful part of who we are.
I was introduced to this idea by a wonderful lady called Emma at a retreat when I wasn’t feeling so good. I remind myself of it regularly.
So come away from the news and start seeing the beauty where you think there are flaws ❤️

After a hectic few weeks we are taking some much needed r and r to stay with our very dear friends. What are you doing for your chill time for yourself this weekend? Go for a walk, curl up with a cup of tea and read a book, go for a coffee with friends or soak in a bubble bath. Make a nice dinner and eat it up the table, light some candles as it gets dark, watch your favourite film. Just a few ideas to help you take some me time. Let me know below what you are going to do and don’t forget to sign up for my 3 wee things newsletter. Dm me below ❤️ #

Just a wee chat about how empty nest syndrome can make us feel. Although we feel sad it can be time to discover who we were before we had our babies. And our bond with them doesn’t go, it just changes. And a couple of ideas to help you if you are feeling low

This time of year can feel emotional for so many mums. Whether your little one is starting school, going back after the summer, moving out or heading off to university - September often brings big changes.
Empty nest syndrome is very real. It can bring sadness and loneliness, even a loss of identity and purpose. Common emotions that come up are sadness, worry and guilt - and they can feel overwhelming. I know when my daughter went to university I was devastated. I couldn’t get myself together for a few months, and it was awful. That’s why I feel so strongly about talking about it now.
If you’ve been through or are going through this- what was the hardest part for you? Let’s open up this conversation and support each other through these seasons of change. . .
