🎃🕸️ Autumn Fun with a Hint of Spookiness! 🕷️🍂

We’ve been getting into the seasonal spirit with a visit to Nymans National Trust and Chartwell for their Halloween trails which are full of autumn colour and just the right amount of spooky fun! 👻

We also popped over to Camelia Botnar Garden-Centre to visit their pumpkin patch and soak up the autumn vibes. A big thank you to Dave at Camelia Botnar for giving us a great deal on our pumpkins – much appreciated! 🧡

We had such a great time carving them and listening to a few spooky tunes — the perfect way to enjoy this time of year! 🎶🕯️🎃

A Trip to the Garden Centres 🌿🎃✨

What a great time of year to head to local garden centres! We loved seeing the colourful autumnal displays, pumpkins, and the start of Christmas joy. The displays were so bright, interactive, and full of inspiration.

It was also lovely to explore which plants grow this time of year and enjoy a sensory experience — from the lights to the different-shaped pumpkins to see and touch. 🌟

We finished off our trip with a hot chocolate or coffee, and a visit to Hobbycraft to gather ideas for our creativity sessions. A wonderful, interactive outing full of inspiration and fun!

🌿 Celebrating Horsham Park’s Success! 🌿

We’re so proud to see Horsham Park receive this well-deserved award for its outstanding standards and community spirit! 🏆

Our recent maze session contributed to the park’s tidiness and overall appearance — from litter picking and clearing weeds to helping with general maintenance alongside the amazing Friends of Horsham Park. 💪

It’s fantastic to see everyone’s hard work recognised, and we’re incredibly proud as a service to have played a part in keeping such a beautiful space clean, welcoming, and enjoyed by all. 🌳💚

We have Won, Not 1, Not 2 but 3 Awards at This Year's South & South East in Bloom Ceremony that took place today. 🏆🏆🏆

For the second year running Horsham Park has won a 🏅 ( gold medal!) in the Large Park Category but this year we also won Category Champion, that's the Best in Show!

And if that wasn't enough we received Outstanding in the, It's your Neighbourhood Community Category.

This is down to an enormous amount of work from all of our volunteers, every friend, our committee, everyone at Horsham District Council Parks and Countryside and all those involved in making Horsham Park such a special place.

Thanks especially to everyone who visits and loves Horsham Park which is at the heart of our community.

Save Our Planet Session ♻️

Our Save Our Planet session was visited by the West Sussex County Council Waste Prevention Service! Sophie ran the session and made it really interactive and engaging, a big thank you to her for that. 🙌

We were reminded of what goes in our recycling bins and what can go to other recycling schemes. We also learned about Repair Cafés and Community Food Hubs to help reduce food waste. Excitingly, food waste bins will be coming to all households in spring 2026 — making it even easier to do our bit for the planet! 🌍

Recycling is so important because it reduces landfill, saves resources, and protects our environment. With West Sussex’s fantastic recycling schemes, it’s easier than ever to make a real difference.

🌟 Active Adventurers Day Out 🎄🌊

Our Active Adventurers enjoyed a lovely day out to the garden centre to see all the Christmas lights and decorations. Everyone took in the bright colours and festive displays — lots of smiles all round! ✨

Afterwards, the group visited the seaside for some fresh air and a peaceful stroll along the promenade. A calm and cheerful day for everyone to enjoy together. 😊

🚦 Road Safety Session 🚦

Today the group learned more about road safety and safe places to stop. We used videos, quizzes and discussions to build on what they’ve been doing out in the community. Everyone took part really well and we found a few areas to focus on next time. 👏

☕🍰 Macmillan Coffee Morning Success! 🍰☕

We are delighted to share that our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning raised an amazing £249.04 for this wonderful charity. 💚

It was lovely to see so many people come together to enjoy coffee, tea, and plenty of cake 🫖🍩🎂 — all while supporting such an important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone for your generosity and continued support. 🙏💐
