INCREDIBLE! My client worked with me starting 6 months ago, and never thought leaving her job was possible. She then bagged two interviews in the same week for the job she dreamed off. All in 6 months!

What made it happen? Over the 6 months we worked on making her desired reality possible by drip feeding parts of it in her every day life. So when it happened, it already felt easy. Like she knew how she would feel. Because we worked on creating the thought into a real feeling.

I NEARLY didn’t go. Not because I didn’t want to, but the anxiety was so crippling I couldn’t take it.

I always do this. Right before something like an event, or meeting, or interview, I get to the day of it and I want to back out. I tell myself that I don’t need it, that I’m fine without it. And I close myself off to what can come out of it. And every single time, I show up.

I work through the anxiety, through the shakes and the doubts, and I hype myself up with the biggest pep talk ever. This has been such a helpful way for me to ‘grab the bull by the horns’ and go for it.

Once I got to the venue, I was in my element. I went on my own, and I was getting ready for my talk. As soon as I got on the mic, I was a different person. I actually love public speaking, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get fearful. But I do it anyway 🤭

I get anxious before everything… and I still do it.

The apprehension and the build up can be crippling.

Before calls.
Before events.
Before saying yes to opportunities I actually want.
And most of the time, before everything day things like going to get my food shopping, or running errands.

There’s always a moment where I think
“maybe I should just cancel’ or ‘I don’t really need that right now’.

But I’ve learned this:
It’s not about getting rid of the anxiety.
It’s about not letting it make the decision for you ☺️

You don’t need to feel ready.
You just need to go anyway 🤍 if I can do it, you certainly can.

I stopped doing all the things I used to love. The things that used to make me feel good, that made me feel like me.

I stopped dancing years ago.

Not because I didn’t love it, but because I convinced myself I wasn’t good enough.

So I let it go. And for a long time, I didn’t even question that decision. I was getting too old to dance. Even though I was in my 20s, I felt like that ship had sailed.

Now I’m 33, and I’ve started again.

Not in a studio.
Not for anyone else.

Just in my living room ☺️

And this time, it’s not about being good. It’s about feeling free. And WOW do I feel free!

How many things have you walked away from, not because you couldn’t do them, but because you didn’t believe you were enough? How many things do we out to one side, because ‘we’re now and adult’ or ‘I’m too old for that’.

Age ain’t nothing but a number 😉

Maybe it’s not too late to start again. What’s that thing you’ve been thinking about for a while, but fearful to start?

This is Justine ☺️🫶

She came to me ready to start her own business—motivated, experienced, and genuinely highly skilled,

but she didn’t feel any of it.

Because at the point she reached out, she didn’t believe she would be able to find clients.
Years of feeling undervalued in her work had quietly shaped how she saw herself.

This photo is important to me because it captures the version of her before everything shifted. I asked Justine to send me a picture of her from her hike, early on in our coaching journey. This hike started her new chapter.

During our work together, I gave her a simple task: reach out to past colleagues and ask for testimonials.

What came back genuinely surprised her.

Not only did people respond, they responded with clarity about her impact, her talent, and how much she had contributed.

And that was the breakthrough 👏

Because sometimes we are our own worst filter.
We don’t see ourselves clearly anymore.

But other people do.

Justine didn’t just discover she was valuable.
She realised she was needed.

How many times has this happened to you 😅 I used to say yes ALL THE TIME!

When you say “yeah that’s fine 😊”
but in your head it’s “absolutely not, I don’t want to do that.”

So now you’re:
- annoyed
- overthinking
- and somehow committed to something you didn’t even want to do 😒

We’ve all been there.

Saying yes to keep the peace usually just creates internal chaos instead.

A simple “no” might feel uncomfortable for a moment…
but a forced yes will cost you way more than that.

What ACTUALLY helped me was this:

I stopped relying on willpower in the moment and wrote out a few simple responses before I needed them.

So when the situation came up, I wasn’t panicking or defaulting to “yes”, I already knew what I was going to say.

Something as simple as:
“Let me get back to you”
or
“I can’t commit to that right now”

It sounds small, but having that script ready changes everything.

You’re not too sensitive, you’re just not used to listening to yourself yet. 🤗

Instead of pushing the feeling away, try this:
💖 pause
💖 notice it
💖 sit with it for a moment

What are you actually feeling? Where do you feel it in your body?

You don’t need to fix it straight away.
You don’t need to judge it.

Just allow it to be there, and then let it pass when it’s ready ☺️

That’s where real emotional control begins 🤍

Do you ever feel like your brain just won’t switch off?
Replaying conversations.
Overthinking decisions.
Reading into things that might not even be there.
I’ve been there, deeply.

As a woman with anxiety, overthinking used to take over everything. And the worst part? I genuinely believed I was the problem. Like I just couldn’t “handle life” the way other people could.
But I wasn’t broken. And neither are you. 🫶🏻

I learned how to understand my mind, work with it, and even turn that overthinking energy into something powerful (it’s a big part of how I built my business today).
