Gratitude Is Not Just a Mindset, It Is a Practice
🙏🏻

Gratitude is often misunderstood as “just being positive.” In reality, it is a skill, and one that is proven to support mental and emotional wellbeing.

Research in positive psychology has shown that people who practise gratitude consistently can experience up to a 25% increase in overall happiness, along with improved mood, reduced stress, and better emotional regulation. Even simple daily gratitude practices have been linked to lower levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms.

💙Why does it work?
Because gratitude shifts focus. It trains the brain to notice what is working, what is steady, and what is supportive, rather than constantly scanning for pressure, lack, or what still needs fixing.

For women who are busy, juggling responsibilities, and often putting themselves last (heyo!), this practice can be a powerful reset. Not to ignore challenges, but to move through them with more clarity, balance, and calm.

It’s not about pretending everything is fine.​ It’s about widening your capacity to hold what’s hard and what’s supportive at the same time.​

How can I tell if I’m the right coach for you?

You might resonate with working with me if you want a coach who truly understands real life, not just the theory.

I’m a working woman juggling many roles: a wife, a business owner, running a home, earning a living, trying to enjoy life, and staying connected to friends and family. It’s a lot 😂 and I get it, because I live it too.

My superpower is people. I genuinely understand how people think, feel, and get stuck. And I care deeply about seeing others thrive. There’s nothing I love more than watching someone step into their confidence and realise what they’re capable of.

Alongside lived experience, I’ve done the training: life coaching, mindfulness, and meditation. I believe in grounding personal growth in both compassion and practical tools.

And then there’s the proof 👉 I’ve created things I once thought were WAY out of reach: buying a house from zero savings, opening a business, returning to my passion for dance, living a childhood dream of competing in gymnastics, and travelling to Japan. These didn’t happen by accident; they happened through mindset, intention, and consistent action. (And I'm super proud of myself!)

I’ve been running my coaching business for 2 years, and before that spent over 7years in management roles, naturally coaching others to grow, progress, and believe in themselves, particularly in their careers. Over time, I realised those same skills could support people far beyond the workplace.

There was a time when gratitude felt impossible for
me. When it felt forced, and like I wasn't doing it right.

I had heard about the law of attraction, that like attracts like. And that what I could think I could tangibly have?
And the best way to start was by being grateful for what I already had.​

So, I started writing every morning in my journal 10 things that I was grateful for. And it felt good! But was it working?

Years later, it finally clicked. What I was doing was the act of acknowledging I was grateful. But what I wasn't doing was FEELING it.

THAT WAS IT! The feeling! Actually feeling it. So, to help me find that feeling, I found something in my life that I was truly grateful for. Something that I felt in my heart.
For me, I felt truly grateful for giving up smoking. That was something that meant so much to me, and I fully felt the gratitude.

Since then, I now get it :)

🤩Let me reintroduce myself and what I do here at Danni GT Coaching.

When I first started experiencing anxiety, I didn’t know what it was. I genuinely thought I was seriously ill. I was having constant physical symptoms that affected the way I thought, how I functioned, and eventually led to me taking time off work. At the time, that felt like such a failure.

I became adamant that I wasn’t going to feel that way anymore.

Day by day, I set myself small, tiny goals. Making a cup of tea, getting out of bed, getting dressed. These might sound ridiculous, but at that point I was completely wiped of energy and purpose.

That’s when I discovered mindfulness. I discovered breathing exercises. And I discovered the power of our thoughts.

I learned what it truly meant to work on my mindset, and that was it! I committed to creating a better life for myself. Not just to overcome anxiety, but to truly thrive.

I opened Danni GT Coaching to support women like myself; women who juggle many plates, put everyone else first, and live with the belief that they can’t achieve what they really want, either because they don’t feel worthy or capable of more than the reality they’re living in.

I offer a number of different services, and over the next week I’ll be sharing more details about each of them.

I am grateful for this life ☺️

Gratitude is something I’ve been working with for years now. And let me be honest. There are moments when I don’t feel grateful, and when I’m feeling down, I just want to throw a pity party 🥲😅

However, practising gratitude, doesn’t mean feeling grateful all the time. I feel all of my feelings, the food and bad (and right now I’ve been in a funk, so the bad outweigh the good!).
But having an awareness of gratitude reminds me, it’s not all that bad.
Actually, I’m doing ok!
