Life can feel like this sometimes. Remember that no matter how short the ‘help’ queue is, there IS someone there. ❤️

There are truly selfless people out there. Mostly we don’t add ourselves to that queue unless, at one time, we’ve had to ask for help ourselves..

Which queue are you in today?

🕷️ It’s Spider Season Again… 🕷️

Sometimes just hearing the words can trigger the sympathetic nervous system, initiating the fight or flight response — and you’re definitely not alone.

Autumn is when spiders head indoors, and for many people, that means weeks of anxiety, checking corners, and avoiding certain rooms altogether.

👌 The good news? You don’t have to live in fear.
I help people overcome phobias — from spiders to flying, heights, needles, and more — using evidence-based interventions while in trance, that retrain the mind’s automatic response to fear.

Most clients notice a shift in just a few sessions, and many describe a calm, neutral reaction to things that once terrified them.

If you’re ready to take back control (and reclaim your home this spider season!), get in touch to book a free consultation:

🕸️ Fear can be learned — which means it can be unlearned.

Hi Everyone!

📅 My October newsletter is out soon, including a link to my monthly Spotify playlist with my favourite ambient, instrumental and just plain relaxing music written by actual humans, not AI generated "wellbeingmuzak".

This month’s article takes a deeper look at a question many people wonder about but rarely discuss: “Why does therapy sometimes fail?”

It’s an honest and compassionate exploration of what can get in the way of progress — and how both clients and therapists can work together to make therapy truly effective.

Also I will be making this and subsequent editions mobile-friendly! 🤩 📱

It was world mental health day yesterday, and some of you may be thinking that it would be the perfect time for someone like me to post something on the socials! Well, the way I see it is that you were probably bombarded with memes and posts with advice and hidden judgements about why you all need therapy.. what a way to add to your stress levels! 🤪🤔

So instead of that, here are some things you can do for free that will reduce your cortisol and adrenaline levels and make you feel good

1. Tree-bathing: sounds a bit woo-woo but bear with me

🌲Go for a walk in the countryside. In the UK we are very lucky to never be far from woods, fields or the sea.
🌳 It is scientifically proven that being among trees reduces stress and can even boost immunity.
🍁 The Japanese call it shinrin-yoku and have practised mindfullness in the forest environment for hundreds of years.

2. Connect with friends.

👫 We are a social animal. Since Covid there has been a marked decrease in our interaction with eachother but social interaction provides significant mental and physical health benefits.

👬 These include reduced stress, improved mood, and a lower risk of cognitive decline and chronic diseases like heart disease.

👭 Strong social connections can boost self-esteem, promote healthier lifestyle habits, and even lead to a longer lifespan.

If you want to max out why not invite some friends to go for a walk with you in the countryside. Set aside 10 minutes to be mindful together and reap all the rewards for yourself and others..

What do you all do that costs nothing to boost your wellbeing?

❤️ Wishing you all peace and good health. ❤️

🍂 Autumn is a time of change. When things galvanise themselves for the coming winter and the efforts of spring regeneration. It's a beautiful time of colourful displays of nature at it's best. Nature adapts to its surroundings, always dynamic and never taking anything for granted.

Us humans can learn a lot from nature. Nature never complains or waits for change to happen.. there is a concerted effort to prepare for harder times so that when Spring comes, it is ready with the resources it needs to blow us away with it's beauty.🌻

⏱ This could be your time also. WIll you take this opportunity to make the change you need? Many of you won't, but if you do there are people like me who are ready and able to help you get to your best self, both quickly and effectively.

Whether its giving up smoking or chocolate, being able to put a glass over a spider and putting it outside without having to phone a friend, or dealing with that overwhelming anxiety in situations that just seem illogical, a clinical hypnotherapist can be that guide you need to make real effective change.

Contact me for a free consultation to discuss how Hypnotherapy can help you be your best self.
