Finding Happiness ... 🌟

"A beautiful woman in an expensive dress came to her psychiatrist, saying that she was depressed and her life was meaningless.

'I'm going to ask Mary here to tell you how she found happiness. All I want you to do is listen to her'

The psychiatrist called the old lady who cleaned the office floors and asked her to share her story with his client.

So the old lady put down her broom, sat on a chair and told her story...

'My husband died of cancer. 3 Months later my only son was killed by a car.. I had nobody.. I had nothing left.. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn't eat, I never smiled at anyone. I even thought of taking my own life.

Then one evening, a little kitten followed me home from work. Somehow I felt sorry for that kitten. It was cold outside, so I decided to let the kitten in. I got it some milk, and the kitten licked the plate clean.

Then it rubbed against my leg and, for the first time in months, I smiled.

Then I stopped to think ... If helping a little kitten could make me smile, may be doing something for people could make me happy.
So the next day I baked some biscuits and took them to a neighbour who was sick in bed.

Every day I tried to do something nice for someone. It made me so happy to see them happy.

Today I don't know of anybody, who sleeps better than I do. I have found happiness by giving it to others.'

When she heard that, the rich lady cried. She had everything money could buy, but she had lost the things money cannot buy.

Happiness is not a destination. It's a journey. Happiness is not tomorrow, its now.
Happiness is not a dependency, its a decision. Happiness is who you are, not what you have."

Wishing you all 'As good as possible" Christmas Eve ,,,,,,,, I'm on call all week for any emergency that may occur, remember I get you, I'm here for you all as some of us know only too well it can be anything
BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS. It's head down get through best we can SOMEHOW
it's ok not to be ok during what should be a special time ,,,, I myself will be spending it alone.

Despite spending years dedicating my time to ensure others are not alone I will be self reflecting self healing still giving and visiting a few special people who deserve my time including my children's graves and I will be on call for anybody who just needs to hear a voice on end of the phone ,who gets you' or anything more IM HERE for your journey too Tina ###

It is easy to think of what one gains in return when they give something to others. But when you are kind for no reason, joy you receive is incomparable. World needs more of kind souls who are willing to give a part of their time for uplifting others without asking for a return.

Sometimes
When we’re lost
We have to light our own candle

🕯A little poem I wrote about my journey through breast cancer. A journey I will one day write about, but for now only pieces shall be written. Some journeys need a little longer to heal. And, as I pass my 15 year milestone, it’s a time for reflection, a time for gratitude and a time to heal.
This time of the year is always a reminder for me, I remember every single moment like it was only yesterday. And, the reason why I tell you of my journey, is that Christmas can be such a difficult time for so many and if I can reach out and give hope to anyone, or offer words of comfort and empathy, well then my work is done. I’m here and you are never alone.🍂

Thank you to all my Elves, Santa’s, Caterers and amazing passengers yesterday to kick off the season of Santa Searching is was wonderful and of course my trusted film crew led by Sam!

We have some special people special memories to treasure, sometimes Last Christmas is sad for real reasons, and some of us know it will be our last others don’t so live for today, make memories and do what makes YOU happy, donation’s for carriage rides go to supporting families following a cancer diagnosis or horrendous happenings which are every day life for sone of us ….. be grateful if you don’t understand that ❤️

Spend time with others who dread this season, embrace this season as if it may be their last, the family with the empty chair at the table, the one who just helps others through their pain, spend it with people ‘WHO GET YOU’ do it YOUR way it should be about who you spend it with not what you spend ….
