We are looking to take on a staff member on zero hours to help out. Some weeks there may be 40 hours work, some weeks zero. It is a particularly challenging time over the summer, as staff go off on holiday, we can be left short so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door and get pharmacy experience. This may lead to more permanent work.

Hourly rate of pay to be negotiated depending on experience.

Book online on the NHS booking service to secure your dose or walk in appointments will be accepted until the stock has gone.

The COVID-19 vaccine will be available at Hopes Pharmacy from Monday 18th September.

The following people are eligible for a vaccine from Hopes Pharmacy from September 18th:

➕ Adults aged 65 and over
➕ Adults aged 18 to 64 and in a clinical risk group
➕ Frontline health and social care workers
➕ Adults aged 18 to 64 who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression
➕Adults aged 18 to 64 years who are carers, as defined in the UKHSA Green Book, and staff working in care homes for older adults.

Booking an appointment through the National Booking Service is advised and "walk-in" vaccinations will also be accepted.

We are looking to hire a part time staff member to work in our pharmacy on Thursdays and Fridays, 9am to 5:30pm. There will also be many opportunities for overtime.

The job will involve all aspects of working in a pharmacy; serving on the counter, dispensing, computer work and stock control.

With a surge in demand for patients wanting to join our free delivery service, rest assured that we have plenty of capacity. We've recently invested in our delivery service buying a new reliable van and we now employ 3 drivers.
We deliver Hetton, Easington Lane, Houghton, Chilton Moor, Fencehouses, Bournmoor, Newbottle, Herrington, Shiney Row and Penshaw. It does not matter where your doctors are based as they will send your prescription to us electronically.
If you're a new patient wanting to join our service, all we need is your full name, date of birth, first line of address and postcode which you can provide via private message or phone call. If your an existing patient simply call us or send us a message and we'll note on your record to deliver all medication.
