With the 2026 Winter Olympics in full swing we can share snaps from a special visit for residents at Lambton on Friday morning.
Our friend John Fletcher visited us to give a talk to residents on his experience and honour as a Torchbearer during the London 2012 Olympics.

John helped to raise over £10000 for The Children’s Cancer Trust at the RVI in Newcastle and was nominated by his work colleagues to run with the torch between Tynemouth and Cullercoats.
John gave residents a detailed talk with information about the torch aswell as his experience on the day with the celebrities and inspirational people he met.
Our residents and staff had a fab photo opportunity to hold the torch.

National Love Your Pet Day at Lambton today with a brilliant afternoon visit from Katie and Claire of “Science Buddies”
Great pet photo and handling opportunities for our residents.
We learnt a lot and overcame some fears.😁

Snaps from Audrey’s Resident Wish Day on Thursday.
Audrey requested a shopping day at Washington Galleries.
She had a lovely day of retail therapy with Emma volunteering to accompany her and help choose new clothes, shoes, make up and accessories.
A whiskey and lemonade before the return taxi home- why not!

We had some great dancers on the floor today. Lots of opportunities to sing along with plenty of smiles🕺🎤🎙️🎼

1.45 and 3.15pm in the conservatory.

This show is for residents only due to space and seating limitations.
