We’re Looking for a SENCo to Join Our Governance Advisory Team 🌿

At AJ & Friends, we’re proud to provide a trauma-informed, nurturing environment where children and young people with complex needs can grow, heal, and thrive through care, education, and community. 💚

As part of our evolving curriculum built on trauma-informed practice and co-regulation, we’re now seeking an experienced SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our Governance Advisory Team.

This is an advisory role, meeting up to (or a minimum of) four times a year, to help guide and strengthen our SEND approach across education, health, and care.

We’d love to connect with someone who:
✨ Has experience in SEND leadership, inclusion, or curriculum development.
✨ Understands the importance of attachment, regulation, and therapeutic approaches.
✨ Wants to help shape an innovative, person-centred model of education and care on the Wirral.

🎃 Friendship Friday at AJ & Friends 💛
Where connection, calm, and care come together — one Friday at a time.

This Halloween season, while the world celebrates imagination and play, we’re celebrating something just as special — the power of therapeutic connection.

Every Friday, AJ & Friends offers Friendship Friday — a safe, nurturing space for children, young people, and caregivers to receive one-to-one therapeutic support that blends Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and play-based approaches.

🌿 What’s included:
• 🪂 Rebound Therapy — supporting movement, regulation, and confidence (including for wheelchair users)
• 💬 One-to-one therapeutic sessions — guided by attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, and gentle conversation
• 💞 Caregiver support — helping those who give so much find time and space to feel supported too

Each session is shaped around the individual — their story, their pace, and their needs.
Because every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe.

Join us today for a fun, calming and creative morning designed for our incredible children and young people 🌈

🧡 Activities include:
🪂 Rebound Therapy – build strength, balance and confidence while having loads of fun on the trampoline!
🎨 Pumpkin Tea-Light Holders – get hands-on with our sensory clay to create your own Halloween pumpkin glow light to take home!

Our sessions are all about connection, expression and joy – a safe, inclusive space where everyone can join in at their own pace 💫

We’re Hiring: Complex Care Children’s Support Worker 🌟

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults with complex needs?
We’re looking for a part-time (20 hours/week) Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team.

💙 About Us
We specialise in holistic care for children and young adults living with multiple disabilities, learning delays, rare conditions, and complex medical needs. Our wraparound support combines health, education, and social care to help each person thrive.

📍 Areas we cover:
• Wirral
• Cheshire West & Northwich
• Chester & surrounding areas
• Liverpool

👩‍⚕️ Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (references required)
• Level 2/3 qualification in Health, Education or Childcare
• Relevant training in complex care
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach

✨ Desirable:
• DBS on the Update Service
• Full UK driving licence (experience with wheelchair accessible vehicles is a bonus)

⏰ Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
📌 Base: Hoylake, Wirral
