Throughout our lives we experience difficulties that we may find hard to deal with.It is so reassuring to know that help is at hand for when you may need it. Knowing that you are not on your own and talking through your emotions may be helpful. My approach is non-directive and I aim to provide a safe environment, where you will not feel under pressure or judged, this allows you to explore and make sense of your own feelings and thoughts. I will work alongside you and at a pace that it right for you. I am aware that everyone progresses at different stages, this is why I adapt my sessions to meet and suit your individual needs. I offer both short term counselling ( up to 6 weeks) and long term (6 weeks or more ) which is based on your needs and discussed at our first meeting. I work from a comfortable and safe centre in Wirral which is fully assessible by public transport. At our initial meeting we will create a contract together outlining how many sessions, the length of sessions, confidentiality and boundaries, we will review after a couple of sessions to ensure that you are getting the best out of therapy and discuss if you would like the sessions to continue.

I had a long history over excessive drug and alcohol miss use. This was topped off with a quick string of bad events, from this I developed social anxiety and a paranoid personally disorder.

Nicky when we first spoke and met I warmed to straight away with her friendly but professional attitude, which lead to a very successful partnership in tackling my problems.

With a massive fear of falling impacting on my everyday life , I was at a loss. I had been referred for CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) which had made no difference. Out of desperation I looked up Hypnotherapy and found Nicky. I had never tried it before and didn't even know if it would work, but with nothing to lose I gave Nicky a call, she reasurred me over the phone she could help and made my first appointment to see her. With an open mind and nervous as hell I went along. Nicky put me at ease and talked me through what was happening in my life through conversation she soon found that the fear had stemmed from an accident 4 yrs previous . With tailor made sessions after 3 weeks I started to notice a difference . Following the full course of hypnotherapy Nicky has changed my life forever .
