This month is Endometriosis Action Month

Endometriosis can affect everyone differently; some people may have transient symptoms and some may struggle to cope day to day. If you suspect you have this condition or it’s interfering with your ability to live a normal life, please make an appointment with your GP.

Common symptoms include:

Pelvic pain
Disruptive, painful periods
Pain during/after s*x
Bloating around periods
Bowel difficulties
Fatigue combined with the above

You can find out more here:

Chickenpox is on the rise in the UK. Not only does this impact on children who may suffer from the condition, it also creates difficulties for immune-supressed and vulnerable peers.

It’s a common infection in children that spreads easily. While it’s usually mild, it can lead to serious complications which need hospitalisation, including chest infections and fits.

All young children are now eligible for vaccination. The vaccine will be combined with the existing MMR jab (given at 12 and 18 months of age), which already helps protect against measles, mumps and rubella. Children up to the age of six can catch up on doses when invited.

The recommended room temperature for a sleeping baby is 16-20 degrees Celsius. In the colder months it can be tempting to wrap your baby up to keep them warm and cosy. However it’s important to remember that babies can overheat and this increases the risks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Baby sleep bags are a good option for safer sleep They help stop your baby from wriggling down under covers and getting their head covered.
