The MMRV vaccine protects against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox) and is an important part of the childhood vaccination schedule.

If your child has missed any vaccines, or if you have recently moved to the UK from another country, it is never too late to catch up. The NHS offers free catch-up vaccinations to help ensure children and adults are protected and up to date. Checking your vaccination record and booking missing doses can help protect both your family and the wider community. 💉🛡️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

Children’s dental health is an important part of overall wellbeing, and simple daily habits can help protect young teeth for life.

Drinks that are high in sugar and acidity can damage tooth enamel and increase the risk of decay. Encouraging water or milk, brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, and regular dental check-ups can all support healthy smiles. Starting good oral health habits early can make a lasting difference. 🦷🪥💙✨

🚨 Important Patient Notice 🚨
Due to an overwhelming number of online triage requests, we have now reached maximum capacity and are currently unable to cope with the demand.
We have made the difficult decision to switch off the online triage forms for routine enquiries until Wednesday morning. This will allow our team time to safely review and manage the current volume of requests.
Please only contact the surgery during this time if you have an urgent medical enquiry.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the current demand and respond to patients as quickly and safely as possible.
In order for the practice to provide online triage, clinicians have to be taken away from seeing patients in order to review submitted requests.
The high number of online contacts we are currently receiving has meant we have had to reduce clinical appointment capacity further, simply to manage the volume of forms coming in.
Please carefully consider whether your query requires an online submission at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you.

Children’s Mental Health Week is a great opportunity to think about how we can support children’s wellbeing in everyday life. 🧠💙📱✨

Creating healthy habits around screen time and internet use, having open conversations about what children see online, and knowing where to find support can all make a positive difference.

For families waiting for neurodiversity or mental health assessments, trusted guidance and early support can help while you’re on the journey. Small, consistent actions at home can help children feel safer, more confident and better supported.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week is a time to highlight support for anyone affected by sexual assault or sexual violence, including women and men. 💜

Help is available if you have experienced abuse, are worried about someone else, or need advice on staying safe. Confidential support, medical care, forensic services and sexual health checks (including STI testing) can be accessed through specialist services.

You may also see emergency alert test notifications on your phone during national testing. Opting out can help some people keep phones hidden and safe, as these alerts override silent and do not disturb settings.
