๐Ÿ’™We welcomed 80 new patients to Acorn Surgery

๐Ÿ“žOur reception team answered 2349 phone calls

๐Ÿ“žThe reception team also made 649 call-backs to patients, of which 638 were successful

๐Ÿ“จWe sent 458 questionnaires, of which 56% responded (thank you!)

๐Ÿ”—We shared 1,269 self booking links, and 56% of patients booked an appointment through them.

๐Ÿ’ปThe Practice reviewed 3,850 online triage forms, of which 436 of our patients used the NHS App, 407 were completed by Reception for patients who had accessibility issues, and 3007 patient used the Practice Website to complete the triage forms.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ The GP and Nurse team completed 11,307 face to face, telephone and online appointments.

๐ŸฉบThe GPs and ANPs:

๐Ÿ“Issued 111 sick notes

๐Ÿ’ŠIssued 1072 prescriptions

๐ŸฅReferred 370 patients to secondary care

๐Ÿ”ฌ1674 test results were reviewed and actioned

๐Ÿ’‰Administered 335 vaccines -thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves!

๐Ÿ“ฌOur Document Management team processed 6,633 letters and our secretaries typed 2331 letters.

๐Ÿ˜”We did have 239 missed appointments โ€” if you canโ€™t make your appointment, please cancel it so we can offer it to someone else who needs care. Every slot counts! ๐Ÿ’š

The British Medical Association has announced that resident doctors (formerly called junior doctors) are due to take part in a strike from 7am on Wednesday 17th December 2025 until Monday 7am on Monday 22nd December 2025.

What you need to know:

๐Ÿ“… Appointments: If you havenโ€™t been contacted, attend your appointment as planned. Weโ€™ll let you know if it needs to be rescheduled.
โณ Expect delays: with fewer doctors available appointment availability shall be reduced
