Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon, is a sixty-six bed purpose built care home offering residential and dementia care. The care home is located in the town centre, close to local amenities and with good transport links. The care staff have built a strong presence in their local community, hosting regular community coffee mornings and events. Residents enjoy a wide range of daily activities from games and crafts to visits from local groups and schools.

It was with great privilege that we attended Huntingdon Town Council Remembrance Sunday Parade this morning to honour all who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

We were especially honoured to have our Senior Carer Lou lay a wreath on behalf of the home. Lou is an Army veteran with 22 years of dedicated service, and it was incredibly meaningful to have her represent us on such an important day.

Our residents were deeply moved to take part, and we are grateful for the chance to pay tribute to the fallen, the veterans, and all those who continue to serve.

🎉 Happy 80th Birthday, Gerry! 🎉

Today we celebrated a very special milestone — Gerry’s 80th birthday! 🥳 His lovely family joined us in the lounge for a wonderful morning of music and laughter. Gerry’s son treated us to a fantastic saxophone performance that had everyone smiling and tapping their feet. 🎷

Afterwards, we couldn’t resist hitting the dance floor to some of Gerry’s favourite tunes from Status Quo — there were plenty of moves and even more smiles! 💃🕺

A big thank you to Gerry’s family for making the day so memorable — and happy birthday again, Gerry! ❤️🎂🎶

🎆 Bonfire Day Fun at Ferrars Hall! 🎆

What a wonderful day we’ve had celebrating Bonfire Night! 🧨

In the morning, everyone enjoyed our mini fairground with classic games like hook-a-duck 🦆 and plenty of prizes to go around! Then, in the afternoon, we kept warm indoors with our very own indoor bonfire 🔥 and a dazzling indoor firework display 💥 — complete with our homemade 'Guy' named Fred, proudly made by residents!

It was a day full of laughter, colour, and community spirit — a huge thank you to all our residents and staff who made it so special. ❤️

A lovely day out for Gordon and Stephen! ☀️

This week, they enjoyed a wonderful trip to The Norris Museum in St Ives. After exploring the exhibits and learning all about the fascinating history of St Ives, they stopped off for a nice hot drink in a local café The Commute Cafe. ☕🥪

After, lunch was enjoyed outdoors under the bandstand, right beside the river — the perfect spot to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. 🦆🌺

🎉🐾 What a Pawsome Day! 🐾🎉

Today we had an un-fur-gettable time dressing up as 101 Dalmatians, with our lovely resident Jean stealing the show as Cruella De Vil! 🖤🤍

☕️ The day started with a fantastic Macmillan Community Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support — thank you to everyone who came along and supported such a wonderful cause. 💚💚

🎃 In the afternoon, we had a spook-tacular visit from the little ones at Mother Goose Nursery, who came trick-or-treating with our residents. There were smiles, sweets, and plenty of laughter all around! 👻🍬

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. 🥰

🎃👒 Meet Fred the Scarecrow! 👒🎃

Today was full of fun and creativity as our lovely residents teamed up to build their very own scarecrow — and after much laughter and teamwork, Evelyn picked the name Fred! 🧡

Everyone lent a hand stuffing, dressing, and decorating, and now Fred is proudly sitting in our reception area to greet all our visitors. Well done to all our residents for their amazing teamwork and imagination! 🌾😊
