One of my pregnant students told me she couldn't come to class because she was going into labour!

This is the great thing about running classes continuously, rather than by term. It means that my mums can be active right up to their due date, and sometimes beyond!

And what happens to any leftover tickets? They get moved to Mum and Baby yoga, so they never miss out

Today I'm doing a Yoga Therapy for Menopause CPD from The Minded Institute by Lindsey Brown Therapy

Excellent content, and great timing (International Women's Day tomorrow!)

Such an undervalued area of life, and one we should be more aware of as younger women

Introducing POMPOM Wedding Yoga!

Looking to stay calm and content on the big day?
POMPOM is all about the big life-changes in women's lives. Getting married is a beautiful celebration, but it's not without its stress!

Why not take the load off and have a bespoke 1:1, partner or small group yoga session before your ceremony? We'll do gentle (non-sweaty) movement, calming breathwork and relaxing meditations, so you can walk down the aisle feeling calm and confident.

Grade 3 Tear After Childbirth: What You Need to Know to Exercise Confidently

I often get approached by postnatal mums who are worried because they had a tear during childbirth.

Tears are very common with vaginal deliveries, and when a tear occurs, it is normally assigned a ‘grade’. Many women are told they had a grade 3 tear and are left feeling frightened or unsure what this means for their recovery or long-term pelvic floor health.

The grading system is useful, but it doesn’t tell the whole story about how your pelvic floor is working now.

This picture sums up Mum & Baby Yoga: something for them, something for you!

Postnatal life can make you feel like you're kind of faded, as all the focus is on baby. The baby's health and happiness.

It feels like clawing back moments of looking after yourself is just so difficult.

And the thing I learn more and more as a mum is that the happier and calmer I can be, the happier they are, too.

You don't just think or hope yourself into calm. It takes practice to balance your needs with theirs.

And ultimately, that's what we're beginning to do in these classes. It's about making sure they're OK, then looking after our bodies and minds.

Because when mums are happy, families are happy.

New term starts 25th Feb

Huntingdon Pregnancy Yoga is Back (and there's a sale...)!

Classes are back up and running, now at Queen Elizabeth School, Godmanchester! And there's a car park, hooray!

I take your health seriously. That's why I'm not only qualified in pregnancy and postnatal yoga, I'm also a PCES, which means I've been trained by a pelvic health physio.

This means the yoga you get is not just generic stretches and strengthening exercises, it's based on a deep understanding of the key issues in pregnancy, so I can tailor my classes for the group that shows!

Classes start on the 26th February (Thursdays) 6-7pm.
To celebrate, I have a site-wide sale of 10% off everything with code NEWHUNT10 - only until the end of this week
It's so new, it's not even up on the website yet. So to book the Huntingdon class, click here: https://www.happity.co.uk/schedules/pompom-perinatal-huntingdon-pe29-2nb-pregnancy-yoga

I love checking out different spaces, and I've had so much fun finding out about some of the gorgeous spaces we have in Huntingdon. Hoping to get classes back up and running in a couple of weeks!

Meanwhile we've had some lovely classes in Little Paxton - adorable babies, and amazing active soon-to-be mums.

Altogether a lovely week back 💚

The other day, someone on my feed said we're reaching the end of the year of the Snake 🐍, a year of shedding the old skin, that which no longer serves us.

Now, I'm not the most spiritual person, however my 2025 has not been the year of growth I expected; it's been exactly as described, a year of shedding things which didn't fit anymore. This has been both positive and painful.

For me, it's felt like a year of maturation, with more to come. We finally bought a house and I move into 2026 with more clarity on what's important. I have a lot less day to day stress as a result, and hopefully I'll be building my resilience and good habits for aging gracefully!

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. On the plus side, 2026 is the year of the Horse, all about galloping ahead - what do you think?
