We had a truly wonderful afternoon enjoying another fantastic performance from KJ & The Catt. Their shows are always a firm favourite with everyone living in the home, who absolutely love the energy, warmth, and interaction they bring to every performance.

The room was filled with smiles and laughter as everyone joined in, singing along and dancing to the music. KJ & The Catt performed a brilliant mix of pop songs, rock and roll classics, and much-loved old sing-alongs, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was lovely to see so many people reminiscing, joining in with the lyrics, and sharing the experience together. Lynn was exceptionally satisfied with Dan’s rendition of the song ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserables, a performance promised by KJ during her last visit.

The interactive nature of the performance really made the afternoon special, creating a joyful atmosphere and bringing people together through music. A big thank you to KJ & The Catt for yet another uplifting and memorable afternoon — it was enjoyed by all! 🎤🎶💙

Our community enjoyed a few exciting games of Bingo today! There was plenty of friendly competition as everyone raced to complete a line and then a full house — but it was lovely to see how supportive everyone was, helping each other along the way.

Congratulations to our winners Christine, Ann, Una, and Clive! A special mention to Ann, who proudly won twice today 👏🎉

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of socialising. 💙

We had a wonderful time at our sing-along afternoon today. Everyone enjoyed singing along with the lyrics sheets in hand, filling the room with music and smiles.

There was plenty of swaying and even a bit of dancing, and some people confidently took the lead by singing into the microphone! It was lovely to see so much enthusiasm, laughter, and joy shared together.

We had a truly delightful afternoon enjoying Matt's Miller Memories’s Trombone Performance 🎺✨

From the moment Matt began playing, the room was filled with music, smiles, and great energy. People were happily singing along, swaying to the rhythm, and even getting up to dance as they enjoyed a wonderful selection of tunes.

Matt’s warm personality and sense of humour really shone through, and everyone loved interacting with him as he shared jokes and chatted with people in between songs, bringing plenty of laughter to the room. The performance sparked lots of joy and engagement, with some people commenting on how much they enjoyed the show and saying it was really good.

It was a lovely, uplifting afternoon filled with music, laughter, and togetherness, creating special moments and happy memories for all who attended 💛🎶

This afternoon, the residents enjoyed a delightful Tea Tasting Quiz session ☕️✨

Everyone had fun tasting a variety of teas and guessing the flavours, including red berries, lemon & ginger, peach & orange, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Ceylon, and peppermint.

Although it’s National Hot Tea Day in the US, we thought there was no better excuse to join in here in the UK — and what better way to celebrate than finding out who our Tea Expert is! 🫖

A big congratulations to Barbara and Margaret, who earned the title after getting the most correct answers 👏

There was plenty of laughter too, especially when Una joked she’d do much better if it was a wine tasting instead! 🍷😄

We ended the session relaxing with a lovely cup of tea of their choice and some nice music playing in the background. It truly was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all 💛

We had a fantastic time at the Hunters Arms pub quiz today!
We enjoyed putting their general knowledge to the test while sipping on a tipple of their choice. There was plenty of laughter along the way, especially when a few enthusiastic answers were shouted out a little too confidently! A huge well done to Jean, who won today’s quiz with an amazing score, getting only three questions wrong. What a brilliant afternoon full of fun, friendly competition and smiles all round! 💭🥰🧠

We had a wonderful morning enjoying a flower arranging session! 💐

Everyone took great pleasure in sorting through the flowers and creating their own beautiful arrangements in vases. The room was filled with chatting and laughing, and it was lovely to hear people sharing their gardening memories and stories with one another. A relaxed, creative activity that brought back happy memories and created plenty of smiles all round. 💐😊
