The incredibly talented Neil Richardson joined us for a lively performance that had a lot of the residents up on their feet. From old favourites to singalong classics, his setlist had something for everyone — and the residents didn’t hold back! There was plenty of singing, clapping, smiling, and even some dancing in the lounge! 💃🕺

Neil’s beautiful voice and warm personality truly lit up the room. The atmosphere was full of laughter, joy, and shared memories — exactly what we love to see. ❤️

This morning we spent some lovely one-to-one time with some of the residents in honour of World Kindness Day! We enjoyed sitting down for a chat, sharing stories, laughter and talking about what kindness means to each of us. From simple gestures like a smiles or helping hand, to bigger acts that make a real difference. It was a gentle reminder that kindness doesn’t have to cost anything! ☀️💭🥰

🌺 Remembrance Day Afternoon Tea 🌺

Today, the residents came together for a very special Remembrance Day Afternoon Tea. Everyone joined in beautifully for our Act of Remembrance.

Jean led a heartfelt service, reciting ‘The Exhortation’ and ‘The Kohima Epitaph’. We listened to The Last Post, observed two minutes of silence, and concluded with Reveille. It was a truly touching moment of reflection and gratitude.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with a wonderful selection of finger foods, cakes, and a drink of everyone’s choice. The room was soon filled with smiles and song as we sang along to timeless classics from Vera Lynn to the D-Day Darlings. 🎶

A lovely afternoon of remembrance, friendship, and reflection — Lest We Forget. ❤️

The residents had a lovely morning enjoying a heartfelt church service led by Father Philip and our dear friends from the church. 💒

As we marked Remembrance Day yesterday, we came together to sing hymns and songs of remembrance, listen to The Last Post, and take part in a moment of silence to honour those who served. Father Philip also shared The Exhortation, reminding us of the courage and sacrifice of so many. ❤️

It was a beautiful and meaningful morning filled with reflection, faith, and community.

This morning some of our residents attended a truly beautiful remembrance service to pay our respects and remember all those who fought, served and sacrificed for the freedom we have today. The service was filled with touching moments-the band playing beautifully as we joined in with the hymns and songs and we listened to heartfelt readings that reminded us of the bravery, courage and resilience shown by so many. As the poppies gently fell, we stood together in silence to remember those who gave everything as well as those who continue to serve today. A particularly special moment for us was seeing Clive go up with carer Helen to lay a wreath on behalf of everyone at our home.☺️
Lest we forget 🥀
