A Consultant Who Found Her Way Back
For many the pandemic years blurred the lines between work, home, and self. Kelly was no exception. While Kelly, Slimming World Consultant at Stukeley Meadows Primary School, continued supporting others through uncertainty, her own routines slipped into the background. Like countless people during COVID, she gained weight — not through lack of effort, but through the sheer strain of living in survival mode.
There was no dramatic turning point, no cinematic moment of revelation. Just a quiet realisation in 2025 that she didn’t feel like herself anymore. And instead of judging that feeling, she treated it with the same steady, practical mindset she brings to her work: one small step at a time.
Over the year, those steps added up. Five and a half stone lost. Energy returning. Clothes fitting differently. A sense of control slowly rebuilding. Not perfection — just progress. And progress was enough.
What makes Kelly’s story worth telling isn’t the number on the scales. It’s the honesty of the journey. The way she approached her health the same way she approaches her members’ challenges: realistically, patiently, and without pretending it’s easy.
Her experience is a reminder that Consultants aren’t immune to the pressures they help others navigate. They’re human first. And sometimes the most meaningful transformations happen quietly, without applause, without announcements — just a person deciding they deserve to feel better and doing the work to get there.
Kelly didn’t reinvent herself. She simply returned to herself. And that’s a story many people will recognise.
