A Change in Direction
A little about me...
My career in Performance Analysis was temporarily stalled when I relocated to Gutersloh, Germany for a few years after getting married. Children soon followed, two to be precise. The road ahead was not smooth and so my return back to work was significantly delayed. A change of heart, and a desperation not to return to the office, lead me to the start of a new and exciting career in Sports Massage Therapy. The aspiration to switch to soft tissue therapy sparked from a childhood aspiration to ‘fix people’. More recently, the determination to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of minor injuries for service personnel, including my husband, has evolved.
So began a new career and a new passion. I trained for the Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy in April 2019. I soon realised the Level 3 wasn’t giving me the scope of practice I so craved and subsequently signed up with the Cambridge School of Massage. I started working towards the ISRM BTEC level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy in January 2020.
